Festivals

Timing is everything, so we’ve planned several of our cruises around major cultural events, world festivals and other exciting happenings. Like these.

  • THEY CALL IT EUROWOODSTOCK, AND IT LIVES UP TO THE NAME. The Sziget Festival Held on Óbudai-sziget — a.k.a. Old Buda island, a 266-acre strip of land in the middle of the Danube River — the Sziget Festival is one of the largest music festivals on the planet. From August 6-13, hundreds of bands, artists and DJs will take to the stage to entertain a crowd of nearly half a million hard-core music fans. And you can be there, too.

  • KICK BACK AND JAZZ THINGS UP A LITTLE. Paris Jazz FestivalBetween June and July, Parc Floral de Vincennes transforms into a relaxing outdoor venue for a month of jazz performances. Each weekend features a different concert amidst the blooming flowers and greenhouses of the botanical garden. Bring a blanket and a bottle of wine and let the sweet sounds of summer transport you to your happy place.

  • A FULL-DAY CELEBRATION FIT FOR A KING. King's DayObserved on April 27, Koningsdag, or King’s Day, is a massive open-air festival, honoring the King of The Netherlands' birthday. We’ll be in Haarlem the day of, one of the best spots to revel in the festivities. Spend the day exploring the many stalls set up in Grote Markt Square, selling everything from food to clothing. If you’re in the midst of thousands of party-goers decked out in their finest orange attire, you know you’re in the right place.

  • CRUISE TO THE BIGGEST BEER FESTIVAL IN THE WORLD. OktoberfestIf there is one thing we love more than cultural world festivals, it’s cultural world festivals that are all about beer. Come September and into October, our Frankfurt to Regensburg itinerary is your ticket to attending this folk festival, which entertains 6 million beer-loving visitors from all around the world each year.
