Cancellation by October 31 will result in nonrefundable fees of $60 for the Club Med membership and $175 for a portion of the Pickleball Management Services. All other payments are refundable up to that date. After November 1 all monies paid are 100% nonrefundable.

 

Meet the Pickleball Sisterhood Coaching Team:

Melinda Alcosser is a Pickleball player and travel specialist, organizing these group Pickleball-focused vacations. She is a Level 1 Certified Pickleball Coach with International Pickleball Teachers Professional Association (IPTPA). She will assist coaching staff on this trip, with specific focus on beginner-level players.

Melinda knows the value of travel to open one’s mind and heart as a way to build relationships, create community and lasting friendships. Pickleball has a dynamic ability to serve in this way too. Melinda’s All Travel With Heart offers a “giving exchange” connecting travelers with the people and the destination.

Melinda is co-founder of CT Experiential Learning Center (CELC) where she designs and leads experientially-based learning opportunities for youth. She is a founding Board member of the CT Center for Nonviolence (CTCN), focusing on bringing Principles of Kingian Nonviolence Reconciliation into daily life, through the arts and just being alive!

 

Daniella Niss competes and medaled in Pickleball tournaments throughout the United States, including US Nationals (2 times); Senior Nationals (player and referee); US Open (2 time medalist). Daniella is a Level 2 Certified Referee. She is part of the coaching staff for Delray Beach Pickleball Club’s Intermediate Clinic.

Volunteerism and making a difference is important to Daniella. As Delray Beach Pickleball Club Board Member, Daniella establishes relationships through Pickleball in support of charitable organizations, including the Gift of Life; Make-a-Wish Foundation; Achievement Center for Children and Families of Delray Beach Wounded Warriors; and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

She oversees tournament operations for the Delray Beach Pickleball Club; 2021 had over 800 participants, 2022 had over 960 participants.

Daniella’s background is in education as a teacher and administrator until early retirement. Using her knowledge in education and educational leadership, Daniella enjoys teaching players of all levels.

Daniella is an outstanding instructor who effectively combines advanced pickleball knowledge with limitless creativity. Her instructional style, as well as her ability to adapt

to any level, creates an enjoyable and valuable learning experience for each of her students.

Ellen Korelitz If the day ends in a ‘Y’, you will find Ellen Korelitz on the Pickleball courts! She has played at least three hours a day, seven days a week for the past eight Years. Originally from Massachusetts, Ellen now resides in a hotbed of Pickleball action: Boca Raton, Florida. After a successful professional career in the corporate world, Ellen traded in her Montblanc pen for a Pickleball Paddle. She served as consultant for a popular line of Pickleball clothing where she helped build the company infrastructure and launch the brand. Ellen is a brand ambassador for Franklin Pickleball, one of the top Pickleball companies in the world. She is an instructor for clinics of all types and has held several “learn to play” colloquiums, fast-tracking new players to immediate proficiency on the court. She guides participants through a paddle-integrated program consisting of warm up and cool down stretching, high intensity workouts, Pickleball-specific circuit training, Pickleball Tabata, and interval training for all levels of fitness.

 

 

PickleYoga - Play and Restore!

The focus of “interoceptive” Yoga is on the internal experience of the individual to allow participants to restore connection between mind and body and cultivate a sense of agency by using the felt sense of the body to inform choice making. With the shift in orientation from external to internal, the power resides within the individual.

Imagine utilizing these yogic principles for Pickleball play. Find ways to become more aware, as thoughts can often race through the mind when getting ready to serve, for example, and instead, find your center to play from a place of inner calm and presence, being truly “in” the game.

                         

Helena will work with participants on and off the court, adding a rich dimension of mind-body awareness to pickleball play.

We start with a playful warm up practicing teamwork, focus and mindful movement. We continue with drills, skills and Pickleball play. We end with a slow flow Yoga practice. Together we create a fun experience of mindfulness, game improvement, and community building.

Each Carpe Dink'era Pickleball Vacation Adventure supports charitable organizations.

For the 2024 Club Med Turkoise, Sisterhood of Pickleball, a percentage of all proceeds will go to support Girls On A Mission (#GOAM) of Turks and Caicos which promotes the empowerment of young girls and women through projects and workshops, guided by the principles of community-service. An (optional) excursion to visit Girls On A Mission at their local campus for group activities and "giving exchange" are also part of this Sisterhood 2024 experience.
