Norse Heritage

Tall and handsome and known for his purity of heart and mind, Heimdal, is the ever-vigilant guardian of the gods. In many stories he is the son of Odin and nine mothers who are believed to be the wave maidens. Heimdal is blessed with extraordinary sight and hearing. He can see for 100 leagues and can hear the grass growing. His horn, Gjallarhorn, can be heard throughout heaven, earth and the lower world to summon the gods when their enemies, the giants, draw near at the Ragnarok, the end of the world of gods and men. When that time comes, Heimdal and his enemy Loki, god of mischief, will slay each other.

Wonderful Way to see France

| Lyon to Avignon
This was a great way to see a lot of France. A tour extension started in Paris and provided many outstanding sites to see. The trip on the ship was a lot of fun. Many excellent excursions were available, allowing the passengers to have interesting experiences in each of the stops along the Rhone. The crew did everything possible to ensure the comfort of the passengers. The meals were all excellent.

Lyon to Avignon was Terrific!

| Lyon-Avignon and Arles.
We really like Viking. The very best crew! Lots to do. Not too rushed in port. Excursions as far as one hour from port as well as near the waterway. Small groups. Motor coach frequently divided among two guides. Lots of information about the area visited. Very personal service. Good food with all meals on ship unless desired differently. Loved getting to know passengers from UK and US. Will be scheduling another River Cruise soon.
