Norse Heritage
Freya is the Norse goddess of love, beauty and fertility. She is the sister of Freyr, the god of harvest and together they ensure good crops and large families. Famous for her beauty, Freya’s passions are abundant, especially her passion for gold and fine jewelry. When she sees and longs for the golden necklace, Brisinga, made by four dwarves, she agrees to their demand to spend a day and a night with each of them in return for the enchanted necklace. Freya presides over the afterlife realm Folksvang, where she cares for the fallen heroes she retrieves from the battlefield. Daughter of Njord, her name means "lady."
