River Countess, the Royal Sail

| Milan, Verona, Venice, Bologna, Padua, Chioggia
This was our first European River Cruise, but all the seasoned travelers agreed, this was far and above any tour you can choose. They think of everything and offer an exceptional itinerary. Almost too busy, but you could take free time most days. The highlight was a PRIVATE TOUR of St. Marks Basilica on St. Marks night. Just our group with an art historian. There is not much sailing, and passengers must disembark twice so the captain can sail on the Adriatic from Venice into the Po River as the ship was not made for sea sailing. But he did sail the lagoons around Venice which was also narrated from the top deck. Cannot say enough about Uniworld and their crew.
