Silversea's Italian Heritage
Like most success stories, the idea was simple: specially designed ships with renowned European style that would be as elegant and spacious as some of the finest hotels, and as warm and inviting as gracious homes. The components would be customized and complimentary, providing for each guest’s individual tastes. The name “Silversea” was chosen as it connotes quality and luxury, and captures the romance and sensations of the sea.
What began as a truly original and innovative vision has since evolved into a sublime blend of sophisticated lifestyle, alluring worldwide destinations and international appeal — the signature elements that inspired the first Silversea voyage and have defined every voyage since.
With similar passion, the Lefebvre family has established The Maruzza Lefebvre D’Ovidio Foundation, a charitable organization supported by Silversea and dedicated to providing comprehensive palliative care services that embrace the lives of terminally ill patients and their families.
