The beautiful Prinsendam

The Prinsendam is my favourite ship in the Holland America fleet; at this point I have not sailed recently on other cruise lines. The crew are superb and the Captain is always likely to surprise you with something unexpected and special - such as visiting a tiny Greenland village that was not on the itinerary and coming back with fresh fish the whole ship. On a previous Prinsendam cruise the Captain took up right up to the sea ice, well beyond the Arctic Circle and that year we went further north than any other ship that season. Those are the things that make cruising on the Prinsendam so special. The crew are exceptional and make every effort to ensure that all the passengers are given the very best.

Enjoyed cruise and ship very much. Two exceptions: Shows were too loud and music selection was not geared to audience; some buses were difficult to negotiate and this detracted from enjoyment of tours. Topical speakers were excellent!.

Norwegian Fjords Spitsbergen

This was our 5th cruise with HAL and it lived up to and exceeded our expectations! I believe the ship has recently been refurbished and looked great! The crew and staff were wonderful as always, and the food fabulous.

My Favorite Ship

This is, and always, will be my favorite way to travel. For a small ship she is very stable and oh so easy to get around. Only drawback is she does not sail much in waters easily accessible to us in the U.S. As for the line, we have sailed many times with Holland America and have yet to be disappointed. Always feel we are in good hands.

Great Cruise and Itinerary

Small but excellent

| East coast of the UK, Norway, Denmark and Hamburg
With over 3/4 of the passengers repeating on this vessel it shows how loyal people are to this ship. Smaller size was more manageable onboard and allowed the crew to get to know who each of us were. Great itineraries, smaller ports were very glad to see us and went out of their way to welcome us. Food in the dining room was excellent, we found the Lido not as good as the Koningsdam. Dinning room service had a very few glitches but there were happily and speedily corrected by a staff that was cheerful and personable. Wine stewards were knowledgeable and not overly pushy, happy to recommend wines in our price range. All in all, a very happy ship full of repeat loyal passengers that wanted very much to be there.
