  • Special Dietary Needs - Advance Notice Required -

Special dietary requests, such as vegetarian, diabetic or gluten-free meals, are easily accommodated with advance notice. Kosher meals and a Health Conscious Dining option are also available. To arrange special meals, please contact the Ship Services Department at 1-800-541-1576 at least 90 days prior to departure.

    Food Allergies

For guests with food intolerances or allergies that are NOT life-threatening, please contact the Ship Services Department at (800)541-1576.

For guests with life-threatening food allergies, guests are asked to provide detailed information to the Access & Compliance Department by completing a Special Requirements Information (SRI) Form. Guests should indicate on this form which foods may potentially cause a severe reaction. Guests with a variety of severe food allergies sail with Holland America Line regularly. The galley staff on board is accustomed to and experienced in dealing with these types of needs. The galley itself has many different areas of food preparation, which can help reduce the possibility of cross-contamination. It is important to note, however, that meals are prepared in mass quantities on board, thus there is always the possibility of some cross-contamination. As such, Holland America Line cannot guarantee that a guest will not come in contact with those items. Although the Access & Compliance Department will provide the ship with an advance notice of all food allergies detailed on an SRI submitted to them, it is recommended that guests also contact the Dining Room Manager upon boarding to review the details of these special dietary needs.

  • Medical Emergencies -

If passengers become ill or injured during the voyage and the diagnostic and/or care needs exceed the capabilities of the infirmary, passengers will be transferred to medical facilities ashore.

Please note: Medicare and many health insurance plans DO NOT cover the cost of medical care at sea, in foreign countries, or for air evacuation. Guests are encouraged to obtain travel medical insurance prior to travel in order to be reimbursed for services rendered.

  • Pregnancy Policy -

Women cannot have begun their 24th week of pregnancy at any time before or during the cruise.

If you are pregnant, a physician

  • Smoking Policy -

For the comfort of all guests, smoking is prohibited in all staterooms, showrooms, and most other indoor areas. While smoking is not permitted in staterooms, guests are allowed to smoke on stateroom verandahs. Smoking is also permitted on certain other designated, outside decks. The designated smoking areas for all ships are as follows unless otherwise noted.

    • Stateroom verandahs
    • Casino (Active players only)
    • Seaview Bar
    • Outside Decks
    • Sports Deck

Cigar and pipe smoking is NOT allowed anywhere inside the ship; it is only permitted on the outside decks where smoking is allowed and on stateroom verandahs.

Electronic cigarettes are permitted in staterooms but not in other public areas of the ship other than on outside decks designated as smoking areas.

Any guest caught smoking inside their stateroom will be considered in violation of Holland America's smoking policy, and will be charged a US$250 cleaning fee per day of violation.

  • Wheelchair Access & Special Needs -

Holland America Line is committed to providing safe, easy, and accessible accommodations for all persons with disabilities, to the extent that is feasible. However, some needs require adequate time to prepare for a guest's arrival. It is recommended that guests make every effort to contact the Access & Compliance Department and submit a Special Requirements Information (SRI) Form well in advance of the departure of their cruise and/or cruisetour. It is recommended that an SRI form be submitted immediately upon booking, or a minimum of 45 days prior to departure.

Guests who are unable to care for their basic needs (e.g. dressing, eating, and attending safety drills) MUST have a capable traveling companion. The medical staff on board is not available for daily care unless an individual is hospitalized in the ship's Medical Center. In limited situations (either on board or ashore), Holland America may find it necessary to ask the individual to make alternative travel arrangements, such as if an individual with a disability is unable to satisfy certain specified safety and other criteria, even when provided with appropriate auxiliary aids and services.

    Wheelchair-Accessible Staterooms

Holland America Line vessels have specially designed staterooms for guests who use wheelchairs. If you have not booked a wheelchair accessible staterooms, but instead will be using a standard stateroom, it is important to know about some limitations that adversely impact maneuverability, especially ingress and egress into bathrooms. For example, bathroom dimensions, doorsills, and the height of bathtubs in standard staterooms are often difficult to negotiate for guests who have limited mobility. Additionally, standard stateroom doors and hallways may be too narrow for a wheelchair or scooter* to maneuver into and out of the stateroom.

*Note: For safety reasons, these mobility devices must be stored and charged in the guests' staterooms.

Wheelchair Accessible Staterooms offer features such as wider entry doors, roll-in showers with grab bars and benches/seats, and hand-held shower nozzles, as well as lowered closet and towel rods.

    • Wheelchair accessible stateroom entry doors measure 32 inches wide.
    • Wheelchair accessible bathroom doors measure 32 inches wide.

Accessible stateroom locations are noted on the Deck Plans for each ship.

    Ship Transfer Options

For individuals with limited mobility, the use of a wheelchair will be the primary mobility assistance aid for getting on and off the ship. Certain ship transfer operations (i.e. during tendering and at the gangways) may not be fully accessible to wheelchairs or scooters. When a ship is unable to dock, guests are taken ashore on smaller boats called tenders. Some guests with limited mobility may find it difficult to embark or disembark the ship at certain times while tendering or while docked due to steep gangways and steps, particularly during low or high tide. Also, please note that scooters and wheelchairs which are more than 100 lbs. (without the battery) are not allowed to be transferred from the ship to tender and/or from tender to shore.

Most Holland America Line vessels have been retrofitted with a tender-lift system that enables guests to roll directly on and off tenders while remaining in their wheelchairs. However, please be advised that adverse weather conditions such as wind, swells, or extreme tide levels may prohibit the use of the ship's tender lift equipment. Additionally, some port facilities may not be able to accommodate the lift equipment. If you require the use of this equipment, please speak with the Guest Relations Manager upon embarkation for further details or to coordinate specific arrangements.

Situations may occur in which guests with limited mobility may not be able to go ashore at the time they desire or are unable to go ashore at all in certain ports. For the safety of all concerned, the Captain shall make the final determination regarding whether or not it is advisable to provide assistance to guests with mobility impairments, or to carry their mobility assistance device (wheelchair, scooter, walker, etc.), taking into account all appropriate matters including, but not limited to, weather conditions, ship's location, weight of the guest or their mobility device, etc.

    Personal Mobility Equipment

For the safety of all guests and crew, and to enhance accessibility, Holland America Line strongly recommends that all personal electric mobility equipment meet the following criteria:

    • Width: 23" maximum (in order to be accommodated in a standard stateroom), unless collapsible to a width of 23" or less
    • Weight: 100 lbs. maximum (without battery)
    • Batteries: Must be gel or dry cell or AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat) only

Holland America Line recognizes that for some people, a larger scooter may be essential. If you believe you need a larger scooter, please contact the Access & Compliance Department to discuss your requirements.

For the safety of all guests and crew, scooters and other mobility equipment need to be securely stored and charged in the guest's stateroom, not in hallways or elevator lobbies. Scooters left in hallways and elevator lobbies could restrict people needing to travel through these areas in an emergency, particularly other guests using mobility aids, since they would have no way of getting by a scooter left in a hallway.

Holland America Line is no longer able to provide complimentary wheelchair assistance for any purpose other than embarkation, disembarkation, and emergency situations. Holland America Line wheelchairs are not available for shore excursions or for use on board. If you will require regular use of a wheelchair, it is recommended that you bring your own wheelchair with you. You may also make advance rental arrangements prior to your sailing and have a wheelchair delivered directly to the ship for use on board and in ports of call.

Special Needs at Sea and CareVacations/CruiseShipAssist are the vendors that Holland America Line has approved for delivery of mobility devices. Please contact these vendors directly for pricing and availability.

Please be advised that all pre-arranged mobility equipment rentals must be made by the guest and the third party provider. Consequently, you assume the entire risk of utilizing these third party services subject only to whatever terms or arrangements are made by you or on your behalf with the service provider. Refund issues must be dealt with solely between you and the service provider. We recommend contacting one of these companies to confirm your arrangements as soon as possible in order to ensure the availability of your specific requests.

    Shoreside Wheelchair Assistance

Because facilities in ports around the world vary significantly, wheelchair accommodations may not be available for some land tours and/or shore excursions. Furthermore, many transportation vehicles around the world do not have wheelchair lifts. Thus, it may be necessary for Holland America Line to make alternate transportation arrangements such as a sedan vehicle. This requires that a guest who uses a wheelchair be able to transfer from his/her wheelchair to the front or back seat of a sedan. Due to the limited number of lift-equipped vehicles in foreign locations, guests may incur additional costs for transportation related to airport transfers, shore excursions, and tour/hotel packages. Please note, lift equipped transportation within the United States may be arranged without additional costs. For information on alternative transportation arrangements and associated costs please contact the Access & Compliance Department . Please advise Holland America Line as far in advance as possible of any special needs for transfers. This will help to ensure availability of the appropriate vehicle(s) and for Holland America Line to provide an estimate of additional associated costs.

Guests should be aware that certain third party shore excursion facilities may not be fully accessible to guests with disabilities. Although Holland America Line endeavors to make sure these companies comply with legal requirements, they cannot guarantee that all are able to provide facilities that are accessible to individuals with disabilities. For detailed information on accessibility of shore excursions, it is strongly recommend that guests contact the Shore Excursions Department prior to embarkation at 1-888-425-9376 (or locally at 206-626-7320) or visit the Shore Excursions Office on board.

Wheelchair assistance that is requested for airports or train stations must be done directly through the airline or rail station. Holland America Line is not able to arrange for wheelchair assistance at airports or train stations.

Our first Holland America Line cruise

| Half Moon Key, Ocho Rios, Grand Cayman, Key West
Loved the fresh flowers on the ship, food and service in the dining room was superior to Celebrity, up one star to a 5. Also tried the Pinnacle restaurant and it was fabulous. The all-meal Lido restaurant pulled the overall dining experience down a notch. Space was tight, service was so-so and it was hard to find a clean table. HAL needs to re-work the Lido.

Eurodam 7-day Alaska Cruise

| Alaska
Ship is so pretty, with a lot of nice sitting/viewing areas. Food was very good, staff was great, always smiling, asking if you needed anything, etc. Embarkation/debarkation very fast (as long as you had all paper work and apps filled out ahead of time). Apps were easy to fill out though.

Nice ship

| Aruba, Colombia, Panama Canal, Costa Rica.
This is the second time I’ve cruised on the Eurodam. I’ve enjoyed both cruises immensely.

First Class Service

| Grand Turk, San Juan, St. Thomas, Half Moon Cay
Our only other cruise was also on HAL to Alaska over 10 years ago, which we loved. We booked HAL because for my 50th birthday and it caters to an older crowd. We prefer to be "the young ones" on the ship rather than surrounded by true kiddies the whole week. We also saved longer so that we could have a Neptune Suite as we were upgraded last time and didn't feel we could enjoy it with anything lower than that. Well worth it! Weather was great the whole time. Staff was very attentive and nice. Stewards, concierge and staff in the Tamarind made an effort to know and remember our names...which is a nice touch. Access to the Neptune Lounge and our own concierge was well worth the price of a suite. Food was generally good to very good throughout, but we were pleasantly surprised by the Tamarind. We're not big Asian foodies, but the location, decor, staff, and food was just outstanding there. Far better than the Pinnacle Grill, which impressed us in Alaska but felt not as good on this trip. I guess our only beef is that we wanted to dance but there was nothing offered at a reasonable hour that wasn't the eardrum-shattering experience in the BB King Blues Lounge. The music was good in there and everyone raves about it, but it was just too loud for us. (In that sense, we were not 'the young ones' on the ship!)

First Post Covid SaIL

| Alaksa
Holland America is one of like two ships that can go into the state parks and Glaciers, so amazing experience with that.

Baltic cruise

| Copenhagen, Tallinn, St. Petersburg, Helsinki, Stockholm, Rostock, Kiel, Copenhagen
Wonderful time getting to see so many cities in multiple countries, so much history to take in!

Fantastic ship and trip!

| Alaska
If you want a truly phenomenal cruise experience, this is the ship for you. 5 start service and food----lots to do and friendly staff. Can't recommend highly enough!

Eurodam cruise Venice-Barcelona June 23, 2016

| Venice/Dubrovnik/Corfu/Kotor/Naples/Rome/Livorno/Monte Carlo/Toulon/Barcelona
Great itinerary but ship shuttle service in multiple ports was poor or non-existant. Ship itself is in great condition, with good service, fine food in dining room and lido buffet, slow in-room food delivery. Entertainment was sad ( incomprehensible mainstage production shows, unfunny comedian, poor stale illusionist. Excellent classical string quartet in separate area. Embarkation poorly done, debarkation in Barcelona excellent, although we were in line on the pier for one hour to get a cab due to poor efficiency of the Barcelona port staff.

Cruising in May

| Alaska
We sailed out of Seattle and that was perfect for us. On the ship it was easy to get on and off. The food was fantastic, and the service awesome. However we did not feel there was enough to do on the ship while we were sailing. We think the next time we will try another cruise line. We have cruised on others to compare this opinion.

Incredible Cruise

| Caracao, Panama Canal, Colon, Costa Rica
This was by far a most pleasant cruise we have taken. The relaxed ambiance on Eurodam allowed forging new friends. People were happy and friendly. There were no rushing to compete for good spot on any of the offered activities. There were plenty of desirable seats whether for quiet reading or reflection, or visiting with a gtoup of new acquaintance, watching the shows or even dining. The crew were most jovial. They took time to find out what you might need or to wish you a happy day of cruising. Our luggage did not make it to the ship, but Eurodam and our travel agent made our trip one we will never forget. My husband and I are grateful for all their concern, care and generosity.

Rating

| Alaska
A learning experience as well as enjoyment

Mostly good

| Greece, Turkey
Ship was clean, staff was excellent food (and amount) fantastic. What we didn't appreciate was, no matter which service we "indulged" in such as a massage, every person we spoke to tried to sell us "something we must use". They couldn't just give us the service. I mean, I don't mind paying twice as much for something like a massage, when I am on a cruise ship, it goes with the territory. BUT, do not push everything on us. It got to the point where we avoided the staff. I couldn't work out in the gym because, "I needed insoles", I couldn't pass the salon after my manicure, because I did not purchase the body scrub, etc.. And the ports, don't get me started on that.. EVERY one was the same. We had 7 stops and all they were was a chance for the ship to up sell their tours or the locals trying to sell complete junk... Never again will we cruise. We enjoyed and made the best of it, just very disappointed in the whole experience. We are in our 50's by the way.. One last thing, the entertainment on the ship was boring or non existent.

Falling for the Eurodam

| Canada/New Enland
The staff of the Eurodam did another amazing job of providing everything we needed, and always with a smile. The food, entertainment, and ports of call were some of the best we have had.

Eurodam

| St Thomas, Saint Martin, Half Moon Cay
Entertainment in Main Stage very weak.

Favorite HAL ship

| Eastern Caribbean
This voyage confirmed my choice of the Eurodam as my favorite HAL ship!

Great cruise route. Great ship.

| TransAtlantic from Copenhagen, Norway, Shetland Is., Faroe Is., Iceland, Greenland, Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, New Yofrk
First cruise on HAL, Have done Regents, Cunard, Princess, Royal Caribbean, Disney and Carnival. Would put HAL, particularly the cabin layout and the vessel, equal to any.

14 days Colector Trip in the Carribean December 2014

| San Juan de Porto Rico, Half Moon Cay, George Town, St Thomas,...
I would go again without any doubt.

Great Cruise

| Alaska
Look forward to our next cruise with Holland America.

Eurodam Mediterranean Tapestry cruise

| Barcelona, Toulon, Monaco, Florence/Pisa, Rome, Naples, Taormina, Corfu, Dubrovnik, Kotor, Venice
Overall, we were satisfied with the cruise and had a great experience. We had sailed on the Oosterdam with Holland America in 2008. We liked that ship better, and the service on the Eurodam was spotty at times and not as good as we remember from our previous cruise on the Oosterdam.

Friendly, Professional staff

| Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan, Puerto Vallarta
The Lido was often over-crowded and there we stood, with plates of hot food and nowhere to sit. Also, too many people hogging pool deck chairs with rolled-up towels and nowhere to be seen. Don't like how the Crow's Nest has mainly been converted to a sales office for shore excursions: couldn't find much of a library or board games such as cribbage... Stateroom noise from above, chairs scraping on tile in the Lido. Had fun with "Where-in-the-world" trivia, though. BBC/live music presentation was awesome. Enjoyed the "Meet the Captain" Q and A session, learning about markings on the hull of the ship, as well as cultural activities onboard.

Alaska Cruise on Holland America August 2019

| Juneau, Sitka, and Victoria - Ketchikan was cancelled due to a delay in Sitka.
Wonderful time on Eurodam. A great boat with a great crew. Glacier Bay was incredible. Cancellation of Ketchikan was unfortunate, but HAL and crew did their best to compensate. Even with cancellation, a very good trip and we plan to do it again.

19 day Baltic/Norwegian Fjords

| 12 day Baltic/ 7day Norwegian Fjords
Overall exquisite itinerary. Holland America has been the highest per day cost we have ever had. Have used Princess, Norwegian, Carnival, and Royal Caribbean in the past.

Euro review

Very relaxing 14 days.

Holland America Eurodam

| Panama canal
Fabulous cruise

Had a great time

| Half Moon Cay, Grand Cayman, Cozumel, and Key West
This was our first cruise and needless to say, we had a blast and even put down a deposit for another cruise in the future. Our stateroom was the perfect size for us and Erik, our room attendant always remembered our names and left us cute animals made of towels each night. Booking excursions was simple and getting on and off the boat was a breeze! The food was delicious as well. Definitely recommend the Dive In for some burgers and fries and NY Pizza place for some pizza. We only dined out one night, that was a the Pinnacle Grill and the steaks were amazing! The boat was more for the "older" crowd, but we didn't mind at all! Lots to do and loved every minute of it!

Eurodam-repositioning cruise from Florida to Barcelona

| Spain
stateroom staff, dining room staff excellent. Overall ship condition very good. Food excellent. 'Drink package' and excellent option.

Port Valet

| Alaska
Holland America printed out boarding passes and luggage tags. No picking up luggage when disembarking.

Amazing Trip, Great Crew

| Juneau, Glacier Bay, Icy Straight Point/Hoonah, Sitka, Ketchikan, and Victoria B.C.
We went as our 7 year anniversary/long-delayed original honeymoon plan, and our room porter Asriel made sure we felt special every time he turned our room or passed us in the hallway. The crew was always smiling; the director of activities, Ryan, made us feel like experienced cruisers with all the info he shared, and the food was amazing, especially at Tamarind where our server was Monica, and she remembered me as we disembarked. The stops were perfect and just long enough. I only wish we were still on the ship :)

Alaska Inland Passage, Glacer Bay

| Alaska Inland Tour.
Son & Anung provided outstanding service for us and our stateroom needs. We used the laundry service twice, very pleased with how it was handled.by Navi and the laundry team. The Neptune Lounge Staff did an outstanding job of answering our questions and providing a nice place to sit and enjoy the food and drink provided.

Fun

| Mexican Riviera
We had a great to time. Wonderful service! We had more fun exploring ourselves than on the excursions.

Northern Europe

| Northern Europe
Our room was very dusty and decor on ship was dark and old looking. Some of the furniture had worn out seats and arms on chairs broken. May scratched seats in the theatre.

Great Experience with HAL

| Seattle, Juneau, Sitka, Glacier Bay, Ketichikan and Victoria
Great organization and everyone made us feel welcome. They answered any and all questions perfectly. We will definitely go on another cruise with HAL.

Not perfect, but highly recommended

| Baltic sea
Ship: The ship was good size with lots of options for eating, drinking, walking, exercising, relaxing, or reading. It was very clean with hand sanitizer dispensers spread throughout the ship. The pool was a little on the small size, but most people were very content to use the lounge chairs around the pool and just relax. The "adult pool" was a smoker's paradise so we avoided it. Not a lot of kids, maybe a 20 or so. HAL definitely caters to an older demographic. The only negative about the ship was a very noticeable constant vibration throughout the ship that got to be very annoying at times. The group at the dinner table next to us had to change tables it got so bad. Service: Holland America has it down pat. Service was great starting with check-in. It only took about 30 minutes to check-in. Getting on/off the ship for excursions was quick and efficient. On board, the staff was polite, friendly, and always greeted you with a smile. After the second day, the cabin attendants and waiters knew our names. That was nice. FOOD: There's lots of it. The selection, variety, and presentation was good. Lines were generally not a problem except on "at sea" days. Food ranged from good to very good, occasionally raising to excellent, sometimes dropping to average. The prices for beverages were reasonable, similar to what you would find in any restaurant in any city. The Tamarind restaurant was exceptional for dinner ... worth the $20 up charge. (I didn't like lunch at the Tamarind.) Hint for future travelers: Have breakfast in the Rembrandt restaurant; table service with real menus, no up charge, and no crowds. Entertainment: I rate the entertainment 7 out of 10 (very subjective rating). We both thought the standup comic and the BB King band were great! One of the "song & dance performances" was just average, the second one was very good. Cabin: We had a VB category cabin on deck 5 and it was just right for us. The room was good size with a real bathtub. The bed was comfortable. We didn't use the deck very much, the weather on the Baltic Sea was a little cold and windy. Drinks: As indicated above, the prices of alcoholic beverages were reasonable. Mid tier bottles of wine at dinner ranged from $20 to $40. Beer/wine/mixed drinks: $5-$10. The beverage packages however seemed very expensive to us once you read the fine print. You would have to be in a state of perpetual inebriation with cheap booze to break even. Excursions: The HAL shore excursions are outrageously priced. It seems HAL counts on people not doing their homework. Public transportation and Hop-On/Hop-Off buses were generally available right at the docks. Third party companies offer almost identical tours with as good or better service at significantly less cost than HAL. We used SPB in St Petersburg and Warnemunde and they were excellent! We booked it on-line prior to the trip. We paid about 30% less and they were better tours that included lunches. Same with airport transfers. HAL charges $40+ per person compared to $10 on public transportation. Admittedly, you have to schlep around you own luggage to/from the ship, but for us it was worth it. We got into Copenhagen 2 days early and got the Copenhagen card which included free rides on all the city buses and trains. Up selling: The biggest nuisance on the ship was the constant "up selling". I understand it, but just don't like it. There was always someone from HAL trying to sell you something; another cruise, or something from the gift shop, or a drink package, or a surcharge for one of the upscale restaurants, or a photo package, or very expensive paintings from the art gallery. It was like a bad vacuum cleaner salesman: you just couldn't avoid them. Internet: Based upon previous reviews, we avoided the HAL on-ship Internet. A 300 baud modem and teletype machine is faster and more reliable. I can understand slow service in the middle of the sea, but there is no excuse for slow service in ports. The HAL web site is very good, so they understand the technology. I have to assume it is a management decision to offer poor service. All we wanted was to get email, se we just brought our smart phones or tablets with us when we get off the ship. There were Tourist Information centers and/or terminals at the docks that had free Wi-Fi. In the cities, there were lots of locations we picked up free Wi-Fi; coffee shops, restaurants, public squares, department stores, outside of hotels, and city hall type locations. We were successful 60 - 70% of the time getting on. The HOHO buses had free Wi-Fi on the buses that was very good.

Meditteranean cruise

| Venice to Barcelona
Excellent cruise!

MS Eurodam Vacation - 2017

| Key West, Turks & Caicos, Amber Cove, Half Moon Key
We have traveled many times on Carnival and tried Holland for the first time. We were very pleased with the outcome. They far exceeded Carnival in every category.

Great Alaskan Cruise

| Sitka, Glacier Bay, Juneau, Ketchican
Well run ship, clean, friendly staff, great food, really liked having on the staff a naturalist who gave presentations and met with guests while looking for whales and other wildlife. We also really enjoyed the park rangers who came on board in Glacier Bay. They explained what we were seeing while we cruised by the glaciers.

Awesome Crew!

| Alaska
The trip was great. The scenery was wonderful. Be sure to check the shore excursion desk every day. There were trips added after we got on the ship and did not know about until the end of the trip. Food was good. Service was over the top Amazing!

Baltic cruise a success

| Baltic Sea
After spending 12 days aboard the Eurodam visiting six countries; I am exhausted but happy. This ship was just wonderful, from the food to the entertainment. The ports visited were incredible and full of history. I would recommend this ship and itinerary to anyone.

Great experience

| western Caribbean
We booked 2 shore excursions and along with our docs we received a dvd with a non refundable sticker. My husband always checks our cruise statement at least twice during the cruise and discovered the $20 charge for the dvd. I immediately took the dvd to the business office and was directed to the shore excursion office. The charge was removed but I was told no one returns them. Not a comfortable feeling.

Eurodam May 2019 Cruise to Alaska

| Alaska
Loved the decor, artwork, amenities of this "classic" cruise ship. No bells and whistles for the kids (slides, go carts, etc.) which I appreciated. The cruise director inserted helpful and informative commentary/instructions when needed without trying to "entertain" or show off.

Welcome to an individual on a ship

| Northern Europe (Baltic)
Excellent staff on the trip. Very nice and always engaging. The meals were good. Should have more casual forms of dining. The pizza had zero taste! The cabin was excellent and service on it top notch. The ability to get on and off the ship easily was excellent.

Easym pampered travel expericne

| Baltic to St. Petersburg
This is esy way to do ( somewhat limited explorations for other countries an people. We were impressed with the cabin service and on-shore excursion guides

FALL COLORS IN CANADA

| Quebec, Nova Scotia, Maine, Boston and Florida
Thermal pool and heated lounges were not managed well. Passengers did not adhere to 20 minute time limits so other passengers were unable to enjoy. This was an extra paid service. Staff would not intervene.

BEST VACATION EVER!!!!!!

| Alaska
This vacation was well worth the money. We had such a relaxing vacation. The crew on the ship were great.

Alaska

| Alaska
They ran drills when we were in port. I have never seen that… I thought that was great. The food was good but would like more fruit and vegetables. The Capt. inspired trust. Help were all very polite. Overall a very restful, fun and interesting vacation. I loved the string instruments and the talks.

Our first ever cruise

| Eastern Caribbean
This was our first cruise and we had a great time. We were celebrating our 20th anniversary with this trip and it fit our timeline, destinations, and budget. There were more costs that we were not really aware of going in to the process, but i guess that can be normal. The staff were very friendly and worked really hard! The ship was clean and well maintained. We booked excursions separately from the cruise ship offerings and am really glad as many of the ship trips were geared to their older clients. The excursions made our trip very fun and memorable. We also encountered some pretty rough seas which the ship did not seem to handle well (we are told this is a small ship so it doesn’t have the extra stablizers). Overall, we enjoyed our first cruise and while we would not necessarily choose Holland America if we ever do cruise again, it was delightful to get away and this was a lovely ship!

One of the best cruises I've been on!

| Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan, Puerto Vallarta
We had a wonderful time. ALL of the staff were excellent! Friendly faces everywhere. I heard several comments from other cruisers on the ship that it was one of the friendliest cruises they had been on. I believe the friendly staff caused most of the people on the cruise to be happy and friendly to the others on the cruise. Great job people!

MS Eurodam

| Half Moon Cay, Jamaica, Grand Cayman, and Key West
Piano bar, Barry from Boston, guitarist, George Adams, and steel drummer, Jamil were great. Spa suite on deck 11 was special.

Fabulous cruise

Mediterranean Dream aboard ms Eurodam

| Mediterranean
The Eurodam did not disappoint on our third journey aboard this ship. We loved our room steward; the food quality in the main dining room and specialty restaurants was excellent; and the shows were varied and entertaining.

Eurodam, July 20, 2013

| Copenhagen, Norway, Scotland, Ireland, Amsterdam
I sailed on the Eurodam July 20, 2013 starting Copenhagen, sailing to Norway, Scotland and Ireland. This is a modern ship with all of the best features of cruising. Nice sized rooms and bathrooms, multiple dining venues, multiple entertainment venues and wonderful staff. Boarding was quick and easy. I checked in before our boarding time and found out our room was ready for me. I headed straight up to the Lido for lunch, lots of stations which helps with crowd control. Usually no more than a handful of people at any one station. The carpet in the Lido is a mess from the chairs digging holes into it. It is my understanding that the ship is being refurbished before the end of the year so this should be addressed at that time. I can’t say enough about the crew. Everyone was extremely helpful, polite and friendly. The Blues club on board had the best entertainment, very talented musicians. The shows in the main lounge were not to my taste but other people on board were happy with them. Pinnacle Grill had the absolutely best food on the ship. I also tried Le Cirque, also located in Pinnacle Grill on select nights and just as good but with a more gourmet presentation.

Amazing Time

| Mexico
We had a very good time and will do this trip again. I was shocked that most did not dress for the formal night so you can get away with a lot fewer clothes. To me, this is not a great trip for children as there were not that many. This was an older crowd but a very fun one. We have done 20 plus cruises and the cruise director and their staff were not impressive at all. I am used to a more upbeat but we just made our own fun.

Great Trip To Alaska

| Alaska
This ship is an older ship, yet still in great condition. There are always crew members cleaning. The BB King band was outstanding, the Lincoln Center entertainment very good. Comedians weren't very funny, not top notch performers. This is a smaller ship, good for intimacy, yet lacks the variety of entertainment and food options. Depends on what you are looking for. Dining room service was good overall. The food variety was good, smaller portions worked for me, yet some would say the portions are too small. I say, order another meal, it's that simple. Lido food didn't look very appealing, so we avoided for all meals except some breakfasts which was fine. I give this ship, the crew, the food in general and the limited entertainment a thumbs-up.

Canal Cruise

| Panama Canal
Wonderful ship and crew

Excellent time on the Eurodam

| Sea of Cortez
We had a very enjoyable trip!

First cruise

| Half Moon Cay, Montego Bay, Jamaica, Grand Cayman and Key West
Adagio, violin and piano in the Ocean Lounge, were excellent. Blues Club was very good.

Wonderful Experience

| Alaska
We consider a cruise as the ultimate vacation and our cruise to Alaska did not disappoint. The ship’s staff service was above reproach and the views from our balcony stateroom were spectacular!

Eurodam Spring 2014

| Rome
We had an especially enjoyable trip. The staff is well trained, and very upbeat. The food was very good considering the amount of passengers that they needed to feed. I would say that there was too much emphasis on being overly creative in the preparation of some of the selections and perhaps too much of an emphasis on Asian inspired cuisine
