  • Special Dietary Needs - Advance Notice Required - Guest requiring a special diet, including any food allergies, or needing specific food items during their cruise, should submit a written dietary request to the Onboard Guest Services Department, either by fax at (310)785-3975 or via email to onboardgstsvcs@crystalcruises.com, at least 90 days (3 months) prior to sailing. Guests must confirm arrangements with the Food and Beverage staff on the day of embarkation. There may be a charge for some special requests, as well as any applicable shipping fees.

A wide choice of pre-packaged kosher-certified meals, including meats, seafood, and poultry, as well as white and red kosher wines, is available on a limited basis, on every itinerary. All chefs, kitchen, and dining staff have been trained in kosher food preparation, handling, and servicing. Only kosher pots, pans, and utensils are used, and plates, silverware, and glassware are washed separately. Due to limited provisioning resources, the number of guests per cruise who may partake in a kosher-style program is restricted to 20. Guests whose diet requires, or who wish to dine kosher-style, must provide Crystal Cruises with advance notice at the time of the initial reservation, and no less than 90 days prior to sailing. Crystal will do all they can to ensure guests' needs are met. Due to limited availability, kosher-style dining is subject to confirmation from Crystal Cruises.

  • Wheelchair Access & Special Needs - Guests with any disability, including those primarily confined to wheelchairs or scooters, are medically oxygen dependent, are hearing impaired or use service animals, must notify Crystal Cruises at the time of booking as they may be required to submit forms for Release and Indemnity directly to Onboard Guest Services, by fax to 310-785-3975 or via email at onboardgstsvcs@crystalcruises.com, prior to sailing.

For complete details and guidelines, guests who have special requirements, physical challenges or need oxygen should refer to the Onboard Accessibility Guide. If a guest would like a hard copy of the Onboard Accessibility Guide, they may request it through the Onboard Guest Services department.

Guests must bring their own wheelchair or electric scooter that does not exceed 22" wide. Please note: Crystal Cruises reserves the right to limit the number of electric scooters on board.

Crystal's ships were designed to be accessible for the physically challenged, with ramp access to most decks and public areas. Ships? elevators can accommodate most wheelchairs, motorized wheelchairs or electrically-powered scooters that do not exceed 22" wide, allowing access to all public decks. It is strongly recommended that the guest be accompanied by a traveling companion for better access to all areas on and around both Crystal ships, as well as ashore.

Certain staterooms offer extra-wide doors, fully wheelchair-accessible bathrooms and wheelchair-accessible closets with low-fitted hanging rods. Some suites offer limited wheelchair access to personal facilities. Staterooms and suites designated for guests with disabilities are subject to availability and must be reserved prior to boarding the ship.

    Going Ashore
As some ports of call are anchorage ports and others may be challenging, certain physical conditions may preclude guests requiring wheelchairs or scooters from going ashore, especially in tender ports. This decision is made at the discretion of the ship?s Captain for safety reasons and is binding.

The onboard Shore Excursions staff is able to assist with recommendations on which Crystal Adventures tours, if any, are best suited for guests with physical challenges or disabilities.

Additional conditions may apply and should be discussed in detail with Onboard Guest Services at time of booking.

  • Smoking Policy - Crystal Cruises kindly asks all guests to observe the non-smoking areas on board which have been created for the comfort and enjoyment of everyone.

Indoor smoking is permitted only in the Connoisseur Club smoking lounge. Smoking is prohibited in all other indoor areas of the ship including all other public rooms, lounges, corridors and restaurants, as well as all staterooms, suites and verandahs. Please note, if smoke is detected in a stateroom or suite, a cleaning fee of $250 per incident will be billed to your account.

Outdoor smoking is allowed in a limited number of designated spaces as follows:

    Cigarette Smoking (including electronic cigarettes):

    • Decks 11, 10, 9, and 8 Aft
    • Seahorse pool area, port side only
    • Promenade Deck

    Cigar and Pipe Smoking:

    • Decks 11, 10, 9, and 8 Aft

  • Internet Access - Complimentary internet and Wi-Fi access is available on board throughout the ship. Crystal Cruises encourages you to bring your own device/s with you to use during your voyage. Once on board, please connect to Crystal's complimentary Wi-Fi. Certain applications (apps) available on personal phones and other devices are satellite dependent and thus subject to interrupted availability.
  • Pregnancy Policy - Crystal Cruises is unable to accommodate women past their 24th week of pregnancy.

The Jewel of Crystal

| Iberian Peninsula
We have been on over 15 cruises with various companies but our experience on the Crystal Serenity exceeded all previous lines from all perspectives. ALL service and staff were friendly, attentive, responsive and very well trained. Food in all areas was top notch. Portions were appropriate and elegantly presented. Entertainment was consistently excellent, varied and we had a show even when in port. Excursions fill up very quickly; plan ahead prior to boarding. Likewise, book the private dining rooms, Though luxury abounds, we were surprised to observe the dress of most passengers was very casual. The All Inclusive policy makes budget and cost effortless and contributes to a very enjoyable and relaxing adventure. All Aboard!

Simply the Best

| San Francisco, San Diego, Santa Barbara, etc.
Crystal is consistently the best. The ship is truly beautiful. The food is as delicious as it is beautiful. Presentation is really special. However, I would suggest that at the buffet the people should not be allowed to serve themselves using tongs or spoons. Staff should serve to prevent transmission of communicable virus, etc. The variety of entertainment was very good. The male guest singer who sang songs from Broadway and more was terrific. The ensemble lead singers were excellent, as were the dancers, particularly the males. However, the shows featuring the ensemble singers and dancers are not of the same quality as your shows of old. You need to step up your game and go back to quality shows like Cole, Harmony of Nations (the around the world show), the 50's rock and roll show, to name just a few. This is the only area where I was disappointed.

Excellence at Sea!

| Charleston, Florida, Panama Canal, Acapulco, Puerto Vallarta, San Diego, LA
The staff are so attentive and seem happy to be there for us. The food continues to exceed all expectations. We love the bridge program, but this cruise, the instructors were not as good as Jeff and Ginny. We love the lectures!!! Keep up the good work in finding such interesting speakers. Th 2 Lunch buffets in the lobby were superb in looks and taste! I have never seen such a beautiful display of food anywhere before! I would love to thank Benjamin, Alvin, Jerwin, Moukesh, Carlos in the Palm Court, and Lillijana, our cabin attendant for their excellent and cheerful assistance at all times!!!

Crystal Serenity - All Inclusive feedback

| Dover to Barcelona
It was nice not to have to deal with signing wine/cocktail receipts both for the hassle factor and the pocketbook! The selection of alcoholic beverages was quite good and for those who preferred "Top Shelf" drinks they could pay the extra charge. There were many long time Crystal guests on board as well as those new to the Crystal Experience. The dress code is more relaxed with more "Resort Casual" nights which made a difference in the clientele. There seemed to be younger guests and more families than I recall in the past. Though there were a few minor changes the level of service remained the same. All of the prior Crystal guests still felt like they had returned home.

Extreme delight

| Western Europe
The best shipboard cruise ever taken over the past 30 years

Guests always the staff's first priority - wonderfully accommodating!

| London, Dover and beyond in the UK and beyond.
Our experience is generally positive. This particular cruise less than perfect because of the days that the ship was unable to allow tender transport due to wind and waves. The ship rose to the occasion with alternate entertainment on board. We were impressed by the teamwork among the staff - taking care of guests as well as one another. Personally, a 14 day cruise taxes us but we encountered many other guests who stay on board for at least twice the time and rave about their experiences. Another plus - we met several other couples cruising alone but enthusiastic about sharing experiences with us across the bar or at an adjacent table. We were in good company among other guests and the staff!

Riviera Cruise

| Monaco, Cannes, Corsica, Liverno, Portofino, Porte Venere, Piombino, Rome
This was our first time on Serenity, it is a very nice ship, the facilities are terrific, we will come back

What an awesome experience!!! Would highly recommend this.

12 Day Cruise from Lisbon to Barcelona

| Lisbon / Barcelona
Crystal Serenity just came out of Dry Dock and was still being worked on when we started sailing. The Lido Deck for the Buffett's was not done until 3 days before the end of the cruise but it was worth the wait and georgous. The guests loved it. The all inclusive (not just for the Alcohol but also the specialty Coffee's and Tea's etc) added extra value to the trip. Great Guest Speakers and Lectures, something for everybody.

Monte Carlo to Lisbon

| Mona Carlo to lisbon
Service excellent! Entertainment and activities very poor. Quality of Movies were a joke.

Great Way to Spend The Holidays

| Caribbean
What can I say about the Crystal Serenity that hasn't already been said. Oh yes, I know. The Serenity had just came out of a multi million dry dock which greatly improved upon the experience at the Grill and Taste's. They've covered the Neptune pool and added a whole lot more seating. Now, even more passengers can enjoy this space. The crew on the Serenity are the best! I sailed on her a couple of years ago, and was I surpised at the number of crew that not only remember me, but my name as well!! Yes the Crystal Serenity is a beautiful ship, but it's her crew that really brings the ship to life and makes a cruise on her as unforgetful!!

Crystal Serenity - Flavors of the Caribbean - Nov-Dec 2016

| Caribbean, Cozumel, Grand Cayman, Ocho Rios, San Juan, St. Barts, Tortola and Key West
Nice variety of lecturers on board!! From Shipwreck history, to nuclear war to Motown expert to wonderful Dr. Milstein. He spoke on Destressing, getting better sleep and Mindfulness. All very informative. And the Jazzdogen group were great. Loved all the live jazz music!! The ambassador dance hosts were terrific. Ports of call were fine. Weather was hot at all ports!!

Good value

| Mediterranean
We have had about 8 trips on Crystal and it seems as if they are cutting back on small touches such as welcome bottle of champagne, daily news sheets, magazines in the library. However they do offer a bridge instructor on all cruises which is a great plus.

The Crystal Baltic Cruise

| Baltic
Crystal continues to provide a great experience for guests, both on land and sea. Terrific staff and clean beautiful public spaces and excellent dining.

Report

| Ft. Lauderdale
One of the reasons that we took this expensive cruise was to visit Savanna and that is the way it was sold to us. When we got on board we were told that we would not go there. We were disappointed about that.

Alaska family getaway

| Alaska
Step above the rest of the cruise companies.

Bonny Isles RT Dover

| UK Ireland and N. Ireland
Northern European climate was a disappointment but the ship itself was very pleasant.

First time traveler on Crystal

| NY, Baltimore,Charleston,Dominican Rebublic,Aruba,Cura?ao,Turks and Caicos
We had a wonderful time on our first Crystal cruise

14 Day Caribbean Cruise

| Caribbean
We spent 14 days in early November stopping at ports in the deep Caribbean. Only one port could easily have been left off the itinerary. That was Samana in the DR. It became the big Joke around the cruise. Also, The ship visited St. Barth on a Sunday when almost every store is closed. Many clients commented on this asking why did Crystal schedule it on that day when they could have eliminated Samana or switched  days.
Entertainment on this cruisewas the best of any of the 11 Crystal Cruises I have sailed on. the Show Band and singers were top notch. Love Hector Olivera, the organist was superb as was Bill Miller and Cheri Steinkellner, both lecturers

Alaska cruise

Great cruise line and ship

NW Passage

| Alaska, Canada, Greenland, New England
A great trip with very calm seas. Crew was a great help especially getting in & out of the zodiacs. Service great in all restaurants & my cabin stewardess was so helpful. All in all a good trip.

Trip on Crystal Serenity

| Boston to Quebec City
Highly recommended

Alaskan Cruise

| Alaska and Canada
It was a wonderful cruise but the only time we saw the sun was when we were ready to leave the ship. Every day was overcast and it drizzled.

Crystal Serenity First trip

| Venice, Kotor, Scilily, Sorrento, Rome, Monaco, Florence, and Barcelona
Went on 12 day cruise from Venice to Barcelona May 18 thru 30, 2014

Crystal Perfect

| St Martin, St Barts, St Kitts, Antigua, Turks
Crystal Serenity surely deserves the accolades it receives. We have vacationed on many other cruise lines but none compare to this one. Could not find anything that was less than excelletent.

Panama Canal

| Cartagena, Panama City, Cabo San Lucas
This was our fifth cruise with Crystal. From the start, we were impressed with the quality of service that this cruise line provides. We especially enjoy the lecture series that they provide. The presenters usually have had hands on experience in the areas they talk about. For instance, one lecturer was a long time employee of the Panama Canal, so he could speak about its operation and the transition from the US to Panama. We heard from astronaut Scott Kelly about his nearly one-year long experience on the Space Station. Its hard to even consider any other cruise lines after going with Crystal. The Panama Canal cruise was all we hoped for. The experience of transmitting the canal, coupled with the knowledge we gained, made this trip one of our favorites.

Outstanding experience

| Panama, Ecuador, Peru, Chile
An opportunity to explore a part of the world we didn't know well. Delicious meals, bountiful buffet. Interesting on board activities. A real effort to please.

Fabulous Ship

| New York, Halifax and Canada
Crystal is always first in their service, food, staff and attention to details. Great speakers and events on the ship. A most relaxing vacation.

Holiday Cruise

| Caribbean
Serenity looked fantastic with all its holiday decorations. All the clientele were in a festive mood, anticipating the New Year!

Expert Review

| Alaska
The staff on the ship is flawless. They are professional, efficient and gracious. Food and entertainment are top quality. The ship is well maintained.

Crystal maintains high standards on both the Serenity and Symphony

| Alaska and British Columbia
We love Crystal - have never tried another cruise line. Some of the excursions were not so good. In Sitka we had school buses that the windows would hardly close and it was cold. Not much opportunity to access rest rooms. Cabins are quite small - deluxe suite with balcony.

First Class Ship

| Hawaii - Honolulu, Oahu; Lahaina, Maui; Kona, Hawaii; Hilo, Hawaii
Bus Drivers, for the most part, were also guides and were not interesting to listen to. Also, some of the walking tours were described as moderate but for older people they were strenuous. There were many elderly people on this cruise and the tours were somewhat misleading. Food was good, especially breakfast and lunch. Found choices for dinner not as good as on past cruises. I was not impressed with our Maitre d' nor our waiter and assistant waiter. Service was fair.

Awesome Experience

| Barcelona, St Trope, Monaco, Porto Venere, Rome
We love the Cruise, our First together From the first day until the last we treated royally by everyone Excursions were very interesting and well coordinated

Russian Reverie Baltic Cruise

| Baltic from Copenhagen to Stockholm
Taking a Crystal Cruise is a fabulous way to see Russia and the Baltic. From the moment we were met at the airport in Copenhagen until we were dropped off in the airport in Stockholm, Crystal was first class and provided great service and expertise. Upon arrival in Copenhagen we were escorted to a city center hotel and assisted with tourist information to help fill the time until we were taken to the pier for boarding. Crystal really does have the experience to provide a wonderful experience. The food was wonderful, Prego and Silk Road were really a treat and we loved the way everything was all-inclusive. We took the dining by reservation option. Crystal had most of the dining room for first or second sitting and they put the dining by reservation guests in the back of the dining room. The tables are very close to eachother so it is impossible not to be included in conversations on either side of your table, but the guests were great companions so we actually enjoyed sitting together. Entertainment was great. Crystal provided a complimentary bus transfer into every port except in St. Petersburg, whre a visa was necessary for anyone on their own and almost everyone took the shore excursions - which were wonderful. We were on a very port-intensive itinerary so they did not have as much entertainment as they have had on less active itineraries. The show was excellent and the entertainers were very good. In St. Petersburg Crystal brought on local dancers and entertainers. Their show as really special and it was great to be able to have them on board. I would definately recommend Crystal Cruises for any future trips.

Crystal Serenity

| Amazon River
I chose this cruise for its itinerary more so than for the life on board the ship, which was really geared towards an older crowd. So, while life on board the ship was a little slower paced on board than I prefer, every aspect of the service was excellent. The food was top-notch and with more options even at the main dining room than I had come to expect from other cruise lines. There were no lines for anything and always a pool chair available.

My Crystal Experience

| France, Spain and Portugal
Somehow I can't fault the ship, but I did not get what other cruises have offered me . Such as a variety of goods on sale - a shop where you could buy sundries ( they were available behind mirrored glass as exorbint prices. The tours were fair, but i cannot blame Crystal for that. The stops were interesting places. They seem to cater to a younger group or at least a group who has more energy, because they did not offer shuttle buses when the town was like 2 or 3 km away. The Crystal group of people as a whole were very nice and agreeable and offered to help if needed. However, although i notified them at the desk that I didn't hear on the phone, they kept sending me voice mails. My stewardess was very accomadating and translated them for me, but it was an irritation. My cabin had a king size bed, although a queen had been designated. Made the room a bit tight.

| Quebec, St. Lawrence River and Gulf
We had a truly wonderful time and it was great to be cruising again. There is not a better way to vacation than on board a Crystal Ship. I was really disappointed in looking at Fantasia. It looked like a pre-school type room. Nothing that would want youth of true school age to go to for activities. It also had no windows, so was more like in a closet. The Crystal Harmony had a much warmer, more inviting Fantasia for all age groups. I would not want to bring any grandchildren with me on a cruise and have them think there would be anyplace they could go and either do things on their own (or with their parents/grandparents) or with other children.

New York to Quebec City on the Crystal Serenity

| New York, Newport, RI, Boston, MA, Portland and Bar Harbor, ME, Halifax and Sidney, Nova Scotia, Quebec City, Canada
This was our second Crystal cruise. The experience is above and beyond other cruise lines. The luxury without being pretentious, the fabulous food and service without having to pay extra for a cocktail or glass of wine, the friendly ambiance of the entire crew from the Captain to the Porters, all of these make for a perfect sailing. The fact that there are not 2500 passengers to deal with, and the willingness of the crew to make every experience just a little bit more special is, in my opinion, a trademark of Crystal cruises. It was a lovely adventure.

over the bounding main.

| Lisbon to Tenerife, sea days, then Key West and Miami
This ship had the most attentive and well-trained staff I've encountered in over 20 cruises. One example-at the lido buffet, a staff member will take your plate to your table for you and get whatever beverages you desire-no need to juggle china or glassware. There are a large variety of activities, something to suit just about anyone. Repositioning cruises are the best value in my humble opinion; Crystal is generally very expensive, but repo trips run at about half the normal cost; plus, on this run, the ship was just over half full, so no crowds anywhere. Many times we were walking on the promenade deck and never saw another soul.

Cruising in Style

| Chile, Antarctica, Uruguay, Falkland Islands, Argentina
This is our third cruise with Crystal, and we plan to cruise with them again. We have especially been impressed with the quality of their lectures. When we cruised Glacier Bay in Alaska, they brought National Park Rangers on board to talk about the glaciers. When we cruised by Antarctica, they brought scientist from the research station on board to tell us about their work. We've not experienced that with other cruise lines.

Riviera Amore

| Mediterranean
Starting with embarkation to debarkation and everything in between, this ship is flawless. There were over 200 children on this cruise and it appeared all their needs were attended to because they did not impact other guests. The food was outstanding in all dining venues.
The bartenders and waitstaff all work hard and deliver outstanding service. Good entertainment and pianists.

Fun and Easy Trip

| Canada/New england/New York
We were in general very happy with the ship and the trip. However, we have sailed on various lines: Holland American, Royal Caribbean, Princess, Oceania, and Uniworld and did not see a wide distinction from the other high end lines that we cruised on despite the 5 star/premium ranking of Crystal. Some ships/lines had better food and better entertainment (although not necessarily both) while others had larger cabins/baths. I expected a higher level of experience given the luxury classification of the line. One comment that i must add that although stayed at the same hotel as other guests who had transfers, given the inclement weather but short walk over to the pier, the Crystal Hospitality Desk could not help up get our luggage over to the ship which was cumbersome. I was surprised as I even offered to pay for the service and asked that at least the luggage be transported across the street to the pier but to no avail.

Ship was excellent. Needs a little update. Nothing major.

Crystal Serenity

| Caribbean
Crystal's food quality and selection were excellent. We loved both Silk Road and Prego, the two alternative restaurants. Both the breakfast and lunch buffets included a large number of choices without sacrificing quality. The entertainment was of the highest quality with a great variety of shows. We had 5 big production numbers with a live orchestra as well as individual singers, a magician, a dancing duo, and a comedian. All shows were far better than on other cruise lines. The guest speakers were also far better than I have heard on other cruise lines. We had an astronaut who had been on 7 shuttle flights, 2 experts on the Middle East, an historian, and even Dr. Ruth, the sex therapist. There was a large turn out for all the speakers.

Crystal Serenity Feedback

| New England
My cabin was the most forward you could be on the B3 class. It was definitely not very suitable for access to any of the dining rooms and activities. Also, when the ship hit rough seas, as it did twice, the wind was howling in my cabin making it very difficult to sleep

World Cruise 2019 on the Crystal Serenity

| The World Cruise
84 days on the newly refurbished Serenity was a dream come true! Her new spaces were furnished to Crystal standards. There is nothing like sailing the world in the lap of luxury! Each port is more exotic than the last. The sea days were filled with lectures and activities too numerous to attend, but it was fun trying! There was a nice mix of both sea and port days. Some just to lay on the beaches, and some very historic and scenic. It was hard saying goodbye to the many friends we made during the 84 days. And the staff, Crystal is known for their great staff and they didn't disappoint! They were great! It was sad when the cruise ended but we can always look forward to another Crystal Cruise!

40th Anniversary Celebration

| Yucatan and Honduras
This was our first time on Crystal, but won't be our last. Just a wonderful cruise line; great staff, interesting activities, and fab food. Food was so good that we didn't see much of a need for the specialty dining options (altho they were also fab). Biggest problem was whether to go to the first-run movie, or the lecture.

Serenity at It's Best!

Sorry to say that the elegance factor is decreasing. People do not get dressed for dinner and people with shorts being served at the bar after 6 pm

Hawaii cruise San Francisco to San Francisco May 28 to June 13

| Honolulu, Lahaina, Kona and Hilo
Great cruise ship, plenty of lectures which is needed for 11 days at sea. Just an observation, as the median age gets older for Crystal passengers, I think the cruise line will need to focus on a younger clientele. I am guessing this is already happening with the River cruises. I also think, Crystal should consider amending their late sitting for dinner from 8:30 to 8:00. Almost everyone at the late sitting was done within 90 minutes. I appreciate the changes made since my last cruise in 2008. Scheduled for another one in 2018

Dream vacation

| Southhampton, Guernsey, Ireland, Iceland, Nova Scotia, Bar Harbor, Boston
My wife's friends had been hounding me to give her a nice vacation after 27 years of marriage, but since I get seasick I had resisted. Then Dennis Prager said on his radio show he was going to Iceland and I'd never been there, so we went. I did take dramamine for a couple of days, but my wife is now so happy I think we might make it another 27 years. Other than our children, she says it was the best present ever, so next time maybe a river cruise.

Wonderful Experience!

| Portofino, St. Tropez, Florence, Adjecco
Wonderful cruise with service that has changed our expectations from all past cruises and establish expectations for all future cruises. Do not have anything negative to say

Citadels and sky scrapers

| Providence, NYC, Boston, bar harbor, Halifax, sundry, Quebec City, montreal
This was our first cruise and it was beyond our expectations. Your staff is so kind. I was in awe of the humanity the expressed especially to those that were physically challenged. We also met some great people on board. The shows were awesome and the all inclusive part was my favorite. Don't know what to offer as suggestions

Outstanding cruise experience!

Overall, hands down, the best cruise line sailing the seas in the mid-size category. I've been sailing with Crystal for more than 15 years and will continue to do so.

Oct 5, 2013 "Barcelona - Istanbul: Memorable Med Cruise" - 12 nights.

|
Service - The service standard is set so high, that it is truly out-of-this-world. Every staff member gives the impression they are genuinely interested in pleasing you. They not only meet, but exceed expectations. For example, while reading by the pool, my melting ice cubes in my iced tea were changed three times without asking! Cuisine - what fantastic food! Not only the traditional dining room, but also there are the choices of two specialty restaurants Italian "Prego" and Nobu's "Silk Road". Even if feeling the desire for an extra special night to remember, there is the "Vintage Room", which carries an additional charge while all the others do not. On the other hand, the fabulous food continues with another option - dining by the pool with romantic flickering lights but lending its dress code to being more casual. Accommodations - recent refurbishment gives the cabins and suites a chic and luxe feel. The Frette linens and wonderful beds are extremely comfortable. the butlers for the penthouse suites are some of the best in the industry. Each bathroom has two sinks and a bathtub. Cabins details are thoughtful and well-designed. For example the bedside lights are angled so as to avoid shining in your sleeping cabin mates' direction. Entertainment& Activities - the nightly shows are some of, if not, the best at sea. The Creative Learning Institute provides a wide variety of workshops including computer skills classes with excellent and helpful staff. A nice touch - on the last day the ship throws in 20 free minutes so you can check into your flight - other classes offered are golf lessons, cooking demonstrations, dance lessons, art classes and the list goes on and on. Also the guest lecturers not only are far superior than their competitors, but the lecturers enjoy making themselves available for one-on-one interaction throughout the length of the cruise. There is a casino onboard, that continually proves to be popular. Spa & Fitness - the spa is a lovely full-service facility with a Zen theme. The Gym has state-of-the-art equipment and offers many different types of classes daily. Please do not hesitate to contact me should you want additional information, I will be happy to talk more with you.

Was a little disappointed in the food this time, expecially in the specialty restaurant Prego.

Crystal Serenity is Better than EVER!

| Mediterranean
I did not think the food, service or entertainment could get any better and yet, it has!

Fabulous cruise!

| Caribbean
All in all a great experience, a wide variety of venues to enjoy and five star service from all of the staff. One draw back for some might be the size of the standard suites, from my limited cruise experience they seemed a bit small. The PH and PS suites however are very spacious and well appointed. I would highly recommend this ship.

The only way to see the Caribbean / Crystal Cruise Line

| Western Caribbean
I have taken cruises before but I have never used Crystal. This was by far the most enjoyable cruising vacation I have ever had. The ship was gorgeous in every aspect. The staff and crew treated me like I was royalty. I couldn't have been more pleased.

Exceeded our expectations

| Alaska
We sailed Princess in 2005 and I had no desire to cruise again. We chose this cruise to Alaska for our 20th wedding anniversary and after much research, decided to go for it. We booked a Penthouse with Verandah and what we thought was the best itinerary. Crystal NAILED it! Yes, the ship is showing a little wear and tear but in 2018 they are going through a $57 million renovation. It still was nicer than I expected. The stateroom was spacious and well appointed. Our butler, Neil, was a true delight. Our balcony was the perfect spot for morning coffee, afternoon wine, evening sunsets, and more. The food was very good and we are foodies with high expectations. The only disappointment was Prego and I don't know what was going on that night but it was not good at all. Otherwise, Silk Road and the MDR were excellent and Tastes - OMG! SO GOOD for dinner! Lunch is nothing special for lunch at Tastes but dinner is a whole different story. Hidden Gem! Lastly, be sure your Alaska itinerary includes the Hubbard Glacier.

New England Cruise 10/3/17 - 10/14/17

| New England, Quebec City and Montreal Canada
Enjoyed the excellent cruise. Crystal takes care of their customers. The crew service was excellent. Food and drink was very good. We had excellent weather on the cruise.

Crystal Serenity Review

| US and Caribbean
The main reception area has a large two-story atrium with a stained-glass dome, a wonderful piano bar and waterfall. There are three sets of elevator banks forward, midship and aft. They were rarely busy. While the ship was built in 1995 it has gone through a number of ongoing refurbishment the late was a major overhaul in May 2016. The Crystal Cove on this deck is a very comfortable bar that often has a pianist playing or on our trip there also was a four-piece violin/cello ensemble that played before and after dinner. The spiral staircase winds up to deck 6, which is the main public deck. Here you will find 3 good-sized shops. One has fragrances, cosmetics, accessories and a selection of clothing in a wide spectrum of prices. The second and third shop primarily are jewelry. During our sailing they had several jewelry shows and trunk shows. Entertainment/Internet Next to the shopping is a quality movie theater with very comfortable seats and excellent sound system, featuring two recent release movies per day. Religious services were also held here. On this floor there is a good sized casino with blackjack, roulette, craps, 3 card poker, mini-Baccarat, Texas Hold ‘Em poker, and slots. Most evenings it was really hopping. Outside the casino is the Galaxy show lounge, which is quite comfortable and plenty of room for each show as well as lectures. There are two shows, one for early seating and one for late. The entertainment is outstanding. On our trip there was a virtuoso violinist, a ventriloquist, a magician, a comedian, a professional dance team, and full production company. The quality of the entertainers and the costumes and sets for the Broadway-style shows were incredible. We don’t usually stay for all of the entertainment and on this cruise we didn’t miss one. Also on deck 6 is the Stardust Club where they have daily dance lessons, bingo, some of the guest lectures, and later in the evening a dance band. All cruises have ambassador dance hosts for those interested in a dance partner. Adjacent to the Stardust Club are the Connoisseur smoking/cigar bar and the Avenue Saloon which is a beautiful bar with dark woods where there was a pianist from Ireland playing before and after dinner and quite late into the evening. There is a Disco bar called Pulse that also has karaoke most evenings and was quite popular. Further down the hall is the photo studio where you can view pictures taken either at dinner or on shore. They also have a machine where you can print individual pictures from your memory chip. I found the photographers to be quite helpful in assisting guests learn how to use their equipment or answering questions. On deck seven is the Computer University at Sea, which is open 24 hours per day. This was manned from 7 a.m. until 11 p.m. every day and the staff was very helpful. They also had complimentary computer classes including digital imaging and desktop publishing. Private instruction is available for $75 per hour. Wi-fi is available throughout the ship and each guest has one hour complimentary internet per day. If you don’t bring your laptop, you can rent equipment for $5 per day to use in your suite. iPad rentals are available for $1.00 per hour. Internet access speed is better than most ships I have been on, and there are four plans to pick from. There is a flat $19.95 charge for copying as many digital images as will fit on a single compact disc. Crystal has a complimentary digital entertainment system with access to movies on demand, lectures, shore excursion information, and worldwide news on your tablet or smart phone. You can download PressReader and Swank Media Player on iTunes and the Google Play Store prior to arrival at the ship to avoid paying internet charges to set up these required programs. Restaurants There are four primary dining rooms. There are two seatings in the Crystal dining room, one at 6:00 and the second at 8:30. There are tables for 2, 4, and 8. Tables for two can be requested but will not be confirmed until day of embarkation. We had requested a table for two and when we got to our suite it had already been assigned. However, the maitre d’ was available the day of embarkation should you care to discuss seating arrangements. They also offer Dining by Reservation where you can reserve your time and size of table after final payment is made. These reservations must be made in advance, although I found the maitre d’ quite accommodating onboard. We found the food and service to be excellent. There is a Modern Cuisine menu based on contemporary cooking techniques as well as their Crystal Classics offerings. There was always a variety of meat, poultry, and fish options as well as vegetarian selections and pastas. The rack of lamb, filets, and lobster were exceptional. Often the headwaiter prepared a specialty dessert such as bananas foster, cherries jubilee or baked Alaska on a moving cart close to the table. However, the pastry chef was outstanding and I found plenty of tempting offerings on the main menu. They offer low fat or desserts for diabetics. Wine and spirits are included. If you bring a bottle of your own wine, there is a $15 corkage fee. Lunches in the Crystal dining room were exceptional and we ate there most of the trip. The food and window views could not be beat. There is open seating breakfast and lunch in the Crystal dining room and we found that if you came within the first 30 minutes you could always get a table for two on the window. Interestingly there are tables for two lining both sides on the restaurant on the windows. There are also tables for two along the center walls. While dinners are more restrictive, I did find that people invited others to their table when tablemates were using alternative restaurants and of course you can always join whoever you would like for breakfasts, lunches, and alternative restaurant dining. There are two specialty restaurants. Both require reservations and there is one complimentary per each 7 days. Silk Road, which is an Asian restaurant based on recipes of Nobu Matsuhisa had great sushi as well as main dishes. There are 8 seats at the Sushi Bar or you can be seated at a table. Prego, which is the Italian restaurant, had equally good food and service. The Lido has breakfast and lunch buffets with both inside and outside dining. At breakfast they had an omelet station and at lunch a carving station. Inside is air-conditioned, which I preferred. We really liked the wide variety and the restaurant is light and airy. Adjacent to the Lido Café is an area where they have pizza ovens and make custom pizzas for guests. There also is a chef making stir fry dishes. The Trident Grill is an indoor grill with hot dogs, hamburgers, grilled chicken, a wonderful steak sandwich and a salmon burger. We also enjoyed the sweet potato fries. Adjacent is a great ice cream bar featuring Ben & Jerry’s ice cream with a number of selections that change daily including both yogurt and ice cream for diabetics. The make their own waffle cones which I couldn’t resist. Daily there are several types of fresh baked cookies on the bar that are restocked all daylong, another treat I couldn’t resist. There is a very nice seating area here with a retractable glass roof that is opened during nice weather and often people would sit here to read or play board games. Adjacent to the Trident Grill is Tastes that offers Global inspired Cuisine in partnership with Sapphire Restaurant in Laguna Beach. It is casual dining at lunch or dinner and offers dishes such as Crispy Tostada Ceviche, Peruvian Hamachi, Scottish Cured Salmon, Spanish Morcilla Sausage, Greek Octopus Salad, and California Street Tacos. There were several special buffets throughout the cruise. One was an American buffet, another was Asian. Both had incredible amounts of great food including desserts. On Deck 6 there is a Bistro that was quite popular and very well done. All beverages are complimentary. It is open daily until 6 p.m. and serves all types of coffee and tea. This includes cappuccino, espresso, and iced lattes. They also have fresh fruit and snacks all day with table service and very pretty china. If you prefer to take your drink with you they have “to go” cups similar to Starbucks. 24-hour room service offers a wide variety of selections. During dinner hours, you can order from the dining room menu and have it delivered to your suite. What I found unique is that your cabin steward took and brought your room service order during their working hours between 6:45 a.m. and 9 p.m. It is not necessary to tip. There is afternoon tea in the Palm Court, which is the observation lounge at the front of the ship on deck 12. A four piece violin/cello ensemble played at tea each day. Tea included the traditional tea, coffees, and pastries except for the Mozart tea where the wait staff dressed in period costumes and the musicians played Mozart music. They do not offer Trivia. Suites The standard ocean view staterooms and verandah staterooms are smaller than most on Regent and Silversea. The ocean view staterooms are 226 sq. feet with a large picture window and the veranda staterooms 269 sq. feet including the veranda. The ocean view staterooms are located on the promenade deck where there is a walking track right outside the window. You can see out but those walking on the track cannot see in your stateroom. The veranda staterooms have a good size balcony with 2 lounge chairs and a table. The first 10 staterooms at the front of the ship and the last 10 staterooms in the aft section have a slightly deeper balcony due to the side metal panels on the ship but the balconies have metal from about the waist down and open rungs above the waist. All other veranda staterooms have metal from about the knee down and open rungs above the knee. The rooms are beautifully decorated. There is a nice HD flat screen TV with a DVD player. There are 16 movies per day, several news channels, the Morning shows, shore excursion channel, guest lectures rebroadcast, and music selections as well as typical ship channels. Below the TV is the mini-fridge at counter top level which is stocked daily with your choice of non-alcoholic beverages. You also can request beer, wine or spirits in your room. There are 8 drawers in the wall unit including a safe. There are both 110 and 220 plugs at the desk, although only one of each. My stateroom has a multi-plug, but you might bring one just in case. On the side is a side cabinet where there are high ball and wineglasses as well as a bottle opener and drink stirrers. You can bring alcoholic beverages onboard and use in your suite without any charge. If you plan on bringing wine onboard there is a $15 corkage fee in the restaurants. There is a 2 seat leather sofa. The bed is quite comfortable and there is a pillow menu where you can select from a list of pillow types. There are great reading lamps on each side of the bed as well as end tables with lamps. All lighting is part of a one touch lighting system that will dim lights or turn them off totally. They also have a “Do not Disturb” or “Clean up my Room” electronic bell system. No more paper door tags. An alarm clock is provided as well. The closet has a shoe rack and 3 drawers inside. It is a closet with two sliding doors, which I found to be noisy when one was resting in bed. There is a 2000 watt hand held hairdryer, 2 mohair blankets, robes, slippers, shoe horn, clothes brush, umbrella, laundry bags, etc. There is a full-length mirror outside the bathroom. The bathroom is a bit narrow for two. There is a tub with shower. They have two nice sink bowls, a magnifying mirror, 1200-watt hairdryer on the wall, plug for shaver, good space and shelves, as well as Aveda toiletries. The tub has a grab bar and a sliding showerhead to adjust the height for tall or petite guests. During the remodel in 2014, 48 PURE hypoallergenic staterooms were added. These have an air purifier that filters out 99.9% of all airborne impurities. The next size stateroom is a Penthouse with verandah, which is 403 square feet. What I like about this one is there are a sofa, a walk-in closet, and a larger bathroom with a separate shower and Jacuzzi tub. The next size is the Penthouse suite with verandah, which is 538 square feet. What is nice about this suite is that there is a heavy drape that can be drawn to close the bed off from the rest of the suite if one wants to rest and the other wants to read. The final suite is the Crystal Penthouse that is 1,345 square feet. The bedroom is on one side and the living on the other. There is a guest bathroom and the main bathroom has a large bathtub overlooking the sea. The living area is large with room for about a dozen people. There is a dining table for in suite dining. All the suites penthouse and above have a butler, a larger television, walk-in closets, larger bathrooms with separate shower and Jacuzzi tubs, and complimentary bottle of wine and choice of two bottles of liquor upon embarkation. Fitness/Spa The main pool is small but adequate. There are 2 Jacuzzis, which had plenty of room daily. There is a full size paddle tennis court, ping pong, aerobic studio, spa, salon, sauna stream/steam rooms, and an incredibly large fitness center with all the traditional equipment. There were a number of daily fitness classes that were complimentary. A personal trainer was also available for a fee. Complimentary Nordic Walking Poles and a WALKVEST that uses weight pockets around the waistline as part of the Walk On Water fitness program are available for use during the cruise after an orientation by the Fitness Director. There was a putting green with driving range nets as well as a Master Golf Professional offering golf clinics or private instruction. It is also possible to rent clubs to take onshore if you do not wish to bring your own. There are two walking tracks and one jogging track. There were a number of areas on the ship where there were lounges to sit and sun or read including around the pool, in the Palm Court or in the Trident Grill area. Amazing how much space there is! Gratuities are included. Laundry/Dress Code There are self-serve laundries on deck 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11. The laundry is complimentary and each laundry includes 5 washers, 5 dryers, 2 irons and ironing boards. Crystal provides the liquid detergent, dryer sheets, and spray starch. A nice deep sink and folding table are also provided. Dry-cleaning and laundry services are available at comparable ship prices. Pressing is complimentary in the butler suites. The two dress codes are: Casual which is slacks and top for women and slacks and collared shirt for men. Black Tie Optional is where men can wear a jacket and slacks with no tie and women slacks and a top. On black tie optional there were all types of clothing from tuxedos and long gowns to slacks and tops. Jeans cannot be worn on formal nights, but I did see jeans on casual nights. Most guests dressed casually the majority of the time. Lectures/Activities We found the guest lecturers to be some of the best we have heard at sea. We had General Nick Hailey and Dr. Jay Wolff. There wasn’t a lecture we missed, something not common for us. Traditionally there were at least two lectures per day which were rebroadcast on the television. Most days there were activities all day long including dance classes, fitness classes, bridge lessons, Yamaha piano instruction, scrapbooking, enrichment lectures, Berlitz lessons, golf clinics, origami classes, needlepoint classes, gaming lessons, art lessons, bingo games, several different bridge games and mahjong play; all of which were complimentary. Library There is a good size library that offers DVD’s, cd’s and books to lend. They also have board games and daily Sudoku and crossword puzzles. Mobile Phones Crystal has Sea Mobile that enables many to use their mobile phone, receive text messages, etc. Onboard Booking Savings; Full Payment Bonus, Crystal Society discount Onboard booking savings of 5% for future cruises can be transferred as many times as needed or you can make an open booking and take up to 6 months to decide on your next cruise. A Crystal Society past passenger discount of 5% applies to all cruises. If you make final payment 6 months prior to sailing there is a 2.5% discount. Shore Excursions We participated in several shore excursions and felt these were similarly priced to other luxury lines and were well run. These ranged in price $39 for a 2 hour tour to $209 for a 7 hour tour. Smoking Policy Indoor smoking is permitted only in the Connoisseur Club smoking lounge. It is not permitted in any public rooms, lounges, restaurants, or staterooms. Outdoor smoking is permitted on deck 8, 9, 10 and 11 aft, by the seahorse pool area, and port side on the promenade deck.

Crystal Serenity- June 12, 2015

| Adriatic Adventure
The embarkation/debarkation process was easy and stress free. This specific cruise was very port intensive, so the activities were limited. The piano bar onboard was great! The DJ in the disco was incredibly rude and not enjoyable. The production shows were ok, but I have seen better on other ships. Overall the cruise experience on Crystal was great!

Outstanding cruise line!

| Venice, Sicily, Rome, Monte Carlo, Florence and Barcelona
We had hoped for a great cruise and spend many hours online reading reviews and evaluated our cruise options in the mid-size ships. We chose Crystal Cruise. We had a fantastic time. The staff, food, beverages and entertainment were outstanding (way better than expected). Their customer service is 5 star and everyone makes you feel important and that they are there to make sure you have a fantastic time. We will definitely cruise with Crystal again. actually, we are looking at cruises in 2016 because we had such a relaxing and enjoyable trip.

Wonderful sailing

| Barcelona to Rome
Overall, our cruise exceeded our expectations. The food was outstanding at Dinner, lunch and Breakfast. The service was first class and always provided with courtesy and charm. Our accommodations were comfortable and spacious.

Captivating Cote D'Azur

| Rome, Sorrento, Propriano, Cannes, Marseille, Barcelona
Excellent job by Crystal. The staff and service are impeccable. The cruise was our 1st of any kind and Crystal made it enjoyable. Special kudos to Eden who took great care of our room, the bartenders and baristas at the Bistro and Sommelier at Prego. The food is also very well done along with great expertise at embarkation/disembarkation. Excursions are very nice as well. Only mild concern is the size of the staterooms, which is understandable on a cruise ship. Smart use of space and a nice bed and balcony but still cramped. A luxurious ship and exceptional staff!

Great Luxury Experience

| Mediterranean from Barcelona to Rome - 9 day
We had a less fortunate experience with either a new, or underperforming cabin attendant - well -intentioned and polite, but remiss in a few areas enough to be noticeable. Although Crystal makes extensive explanations of its "over and above" internet capability, it really is inferior. Then to pay dearly for the service is just wrong. This needs to be fixed yesterday! The couple they have on TV tape with daily shore excursion information is plain awfull. I actually thought that it was a comic parody when I first saw it on my cabin TV. Most importantly they don't speak clear English on a ship which clearly has an American theme otherwise. I know their CEO is brand new, but someone should coach her on how to look at the camera without a teleprompter. She loses sincerity with the way it comes across.

First large cruiseship through the Northwest Passage

| Northwest Passage
Crystal began planning this voyage four years ago when it became clear that global warming would make it possible to schedule a trip from Alaska to New York through the Northwest Passage. They worked closely with nine very small local communities so that our visits would benefit both residents and passengers. Sea days became adventure days with hikes to see snowy owls, kayaking along glaciers, visits to historical sites, and zodiac boat rides in ice floes with polar bears. This cruise surpassed the high expectations I had for it.

The Best cruise EVER

Crystal did the most amazing job of crystalizing an expedition adventure!

Vistas of the Aegean Sea

Beautiful ship, luxurious cabins, fabulous food, great excursions, and excellent staff.

Autum Palette cruise Boston to Quebec

| Quebec
We checked in at the port in Boston with no problem. Boston is a beautiful city full of history and culture. Halifax and Peggy's Cove-not to be missed and Quebec so rich in character and charm. All the islands in Canada are pristine. No litter anywhere! The food on Serenity was the best in the main dining room as well as Prego, Silk Road and Tastes. Tastes, with it's small bites, was delicious and such fun!

Crystal quality is superb, however, there were some disappointments in shore excursions advance communications, handling of exiting the ship for tenders, and high pricing of excursions. Food was excellent in all specialty restaurants, not quite as good in main dining room. Lecturers were good, but only a few were as good as in past years. Choice of daily activities on board is wonderful.

Crystal Serenity Voyage to the top of the World

| Norway/Russia
The new shows are very well done and the audience seemed to enjoy them. The Tourist, Across the Pond & Tribute to Elton John. This was a food and wine sailing and the events were very successful and each chef planned dishes on the menu one evening. The onboard guest lecturers were also very good.

Crystal Serenity South Pacific

| Oahu Hawaii, Fanning Island, Fiji, W.Samoa, New Caledonia, Sydney Australia
We reached our 10th milestone with Crystal Cruises & they continue to provide the best overall cruise experience (our personal comparison from other cruise lines).

Independent Travel Counselor - Signature host for 2016 World Cruise

| Full World Cruise
Guests often repeat the full world cruise for several years so the feeling on board is one of family and closeness. This, often more than the itinerary, is the reason that Crystal guests repeat the FWC year after year.

Vadnais Cruise

| Tortola, St. Barts, St. Kitts, St. Lucia, St. Martin,
Wonderful Cruise Line

First Class Cruising

| Alaska, Northwest Passage, Greenland & New York
Best cruise we have been on, bar none. Great destinations. Crew was amazing. Many called me by name by the middle of the cruise.

Great cruise line that has slipped big time

| St Barts, St Lucia, San Martin, etc
There are 2 menu sides - the new and the old menus. The new was very inadequate. One dinner I received a toothpick size piece of king crab . Another night I had a linear strip of lamb - 2 strips and popcorn with 2 green leafs. Unfortunately the regular menu is half the size with much less choice. You can always order steak. If hungry after the meal, we ordered burgers from room service. We also paid $60.00 extra to eat at the speciality restaurand again which was excellent. The lido - daytime buffet was excellent as always.

A Wonderful 25 Day Trip

| Amsterdam to Nice - 2 back to back cruises
We love cruising with Crystal Cruises. They are the best by far but in order to keep the quality at the exceptional quality they are known for they need to: - Incorporate new technology for excursions - Ensure that local guides can communicate effectively in English - Keep the quality of the on board lecturers evenly high The food, wine and service provided by the staff is truly exceptional. The Crystal singers and dancers are Broadway quality The Evening entertainment is outstanding. The variety of things to do on the ship is excellent. The White Night entertainment brings everyone out dancing and having a ball. What a great idea.

Our 8th on Serenity

| Panama Canal
In general ships of this size have 2,000+ guests. On board lecturers and presenters, second to none.

Crystal ship Serenity as of September 2013

| Mediterranen
Ship offers lots of activities for all ages. Well taken care of with terrific staff. Service is above expectation and dining is fabulous.

Luxury on the Water

| Antarctica and South America
Crystal seems to have cut back on several of the things that a high end hotel whether on land or water provides. I have noticed a change, not necessarily for the better, since we first began sailing n Crystal.

Crystal Cruises newest addition to their fleet, the 68,000-ton, 1,080-guest Crystal Serenity raises the already lofty standards of Crystal Cruises to even greater heights. She offers an expanded space-to-guest ratio (62.9) than her spacious sister ship, Crystal Symphony. Her elegantly appointed staterooms are all outside, over 85% with private verandahs, and all offer completely unobstructed views, thanks to a unique recessed lifeboat design. Onboard amenities include grand lounges, five separate and distinctive evening dining venues, a casino, a lavish spa, two paddle tennis courts and award-winning entertainment.
