WOW, What a Ball

| Amsterdam to Luxemboug/Paris
We have sailed over 30 times but first River cruise. What an experience,Will do again next year with AMA but this time 14 days.

Bordeaux Wine Tour

| Bordeaux, France
We loved Bordeaux and 99% of the excursions. We did hit cities on a Monday when everything is closed. Fortunately, the one we hit would be the one we would least regret missing. Dinner is rushed, per my con comment. The other issue we had is that free time on excursions are during lunch time. However, the French close shop for two hours in the afternoon, during lunch time. So, if there were shops we wanted to go into while on excursions, they were closed.

Great itinerary

Autumn on the Danube

| Budapest, Bratislava, Vienna, Duernstein, Melk, Passau, Regensburg, Nuernberg, Prague
An outstanding program (and director, Rolf J.), itinerary, meals and service, wine selection. Thanks to all the professionals on the entire staff, from Captain to housekeeping, for making this a once-in-a-lifetime journey. Particularly pleasing to us was the "discovery" of Bratislava (a true jewel of a city) and Prague, where we had the most informative tour with the best guide we have ever experienced, Frank Svoboda.

What a Way to Go!

| river cruise in Loire Valley
Have sailed with Ama on several occasions. Each time we notice small but significant upgrades. This time, tighter security aboard ship, a happy hour called Sip n Sail, and highlighted menu items such as seafood of the region

Pampered treatment throughout

| Prague, Germany rivers, Luxembourg, Paris.
We had an AMA representative with us from our arrival at the Prague airport through our departure from Charles DeGaulle airport. Unbelievable service. The food was great and the staff was very helpful and friendly. They had different excursions based on physical condition - a gentle group, an active group, and 3 or 4 regular groups. They planned the excursions so that each group started with a different spot so it wasn't crowded. The cruise manager, Balazc Kiss, was absolutely the best. I would cruise again with him anytime. I'm sure their other cruise managers would be wonderful too, but he was exceptional.

Taste of Bordeaux

| Paris, Bordeaux, Loire valley
Due to low turnout, no doubt the fear of terrorism, the ship only had 85 passengers. There was a great blend of 1/3 Americans, 1/3 Canadians, and 1/3 British. The staff overall was so friendly, cheerful and accommodating. While the weather was uncooperative (flooding), and the French chose to have a transit strike, our fabulous Cruise Director Elia managed to keep us informed and made alternate plans flawlessly. This was my third time to sail with Amawaterways, and we have already committed to another trip in the future. If you love castles, chateaux, and wine tasting this is the trip for you!

AmaDolce review

| Rhine River cruise
We were very pleased with the cruise. Everything was taken care of for us at each destination.

AMaDolce on the Danube

| Prague - Budapest
The Tours were very nice. The staff does a good job of trying to accommodate special requests.

Taste of Bordeaux

| Basque pre-cruise land tour and Bordeaux.
We really like that Ama offers up to 3 different activities everyday in ports, and especially that they are included in the price of the trip.

A fabulous experience from start to finish. Great ship, terrific crew, pre and post cruise tours were excellent

Fabulous Wine Cruise

| Taste of Bordeaux
We want to thank Ioana Dulcea for a wonderful tour of the Loire Valley. Our guide Simon's presentation was very interesting and he brought life to the many castles. We highly recommend using him again for the Loire Valley tour. We loved the castle we stayed in and the meal that was planned at the restaurant. Ioana was fun to be with and she is very knowledgable about the local customs and food. Was very special to have a private tour with her and AMA is very lucky to employ her as a cruise director she is wonderful and other passengers had the same appreciation for her as well. Our pre tour was also well planned and Ioana helped break it up with local cookies and stories. We look forward to our next AMA river cruise and would be very happy to have Ioana as our cruise director again. Thank you Ioana for everything!!!

Riverboat Cruise is the way to see Europe!

| Danube River cruise
Loves this trip especially the choice of cities and the friendly crew. A river cruise is a great way to see Europe.

First time River Cruising

| Europe's Rivers and Castles
Everything for the most part was very good. I personally would have liked a different location in Paris for the hotel as it was not conveniently located to the inner-city and more difficult to go by foot to places I would have liked to see on my own. The hotel in Prague was wonderfully located and easy to access everything by foot. I had been told that there would be a lot of local entertainment on the ship at night and they only had it two nights. It was great entertainment, but only lasted a short time each evening. We enjoyed the staff very much and our cruise director Monica was just wonderful. We did not have the greatest weather, but that is not anything that could not have been controlled.

1st River Cruise

| Cities along Mosel and Rhine Rivers.
Looking to take another trip on AMA. Just have to decide where and when.

Good For First River Cruise

| Bordeaux, France
Had a couple of maintenance issues that took a couple of days to resolve, but otherwise was good service. Food selection not best for me (allergy issue), so many dishes needed to be "altered". Did not see any of the evening entertainment, but variety seemed good.

AMA Bordeaux Cruise

| Paris, Bordeaux, Loire Valley
Negative: - Mattress in boat cabin very thin & uncomfortable. - Ship older than I expected, common area decor a bit faded. - Novotel Loire Valley had poor service, air conditioning not functioning, not up to standards and service of the 2 Paris hotels. - Tours were excellent but got back at 5pm or later which made it hard to shower/dress for the 6:30 cocktails and 7pm dinner. Positive: - Tour/cruise director was excellent/hard-working. - Food & wine were excellent. We liked the multiple dining venues. - Wine chateaux visited were excellent. Enough wine tasting opportunities for wine lovers.

Fantastic Cruise and Service

Bordeaux Wine tour

| Bordeaux, France
Our first cruise ever. Staff was very accommodating and helpful. On board, I had no trouble getting around despite my mobility issues. Land based trips also worked out with some accommodations made for me to use my scooter by choosing sites with only a few stairs that I could handle with my poles, if necessary. Overall, it was a good introduction to cruising and we will plan another cruise, perhaps on the Douro River.

Wow, Wow, Wow

| Bordeaux, France
Travel is our passion and we've done them all, inexpensive to luxury, but AMA river cruise won us hands down. Nothing negative, we always felt welcome and comfortable. Bravo to the eastern European crew, very professional and fun-loving. Of course, they're the "tip-suckers (my own term, my wife calls me a tipping fool anyway)". It's been 5 days since we got off the ship and we're already finalizing another AMA cruise in France.

Danube Cruise

| Hungary, Slovakia, Austria, Germany, Czech Republic
The ports were all crowded with riverboats full of tourists just like us. The guides warned us that summer is far more crowded than September. We were glad that we traveled in the fall. On the ship, the ratio of staff to passengers was very good. Our every need was met.
