Hi Vicki,
On my river cruise now and I highly recommend this type of travel. It's relaxing, low key, only 100 people on board, good food, everything included... tours, wine, beer, soda, coffee. It's a nice way to go. No credit card sticker shock at the end!
You can sit in your room and watch the scenery go by, or go up on top. staying in one country is nice also, you can see all the different types of scenery.
I would do this again. Holland is a beautiful country. And thank you, Vicki, for all the help with the details.

Note: the final picture came with this caption: The new King & Queen of The Netherlands standing in the back of the boat. Amazing we got to be so close to see it. The cruise director of our ship had to submit all of the passengers names to the State police in order for us to dock inside the security perimeter of the King's boat procession.
