Club Med Yucatan is amazing--this was our second year and this time we stayed in the Jade hotel which was great. The various staff couldn't have been nicer, the pool was beautiful, there was an amazing spread of hors d'oeuvres every night, along with a chef making crepes every afternoon, and having the bar right there was a serious plus.

The main dining hall also has a wide variety of wonderful food, and the theme nights are a lot of fun. My girls did the play and the production was very entertaining. The beach is also amazing, beautiful sand and water. We didn't really take advantage of all the sports and activities offered, preferring to lie around at the pool, but there are plenty. The kids went to the mini club and had fun, one counselor Eduardo in particular was especially great with the kids.

The only not so great things I would say are the steak house, I had the lamb and it was really not good, very chewy and tasteless, and the decor was nice but the place was seriously overlit, not very romantic. The Jade's rooms also could use some updating, the bathroom tiles and some of the lamps and furniture were looking a bit shabby, and one night the sheets were quite pilled and scratchy, though when they changed the linens the next set was fine. The air conditioning also didn't do much to remove the humidity, so we asked for a dehumidifier and they were happy to oblige. We were on the first floor facing the garden so that might have something to do with why it was so muggy.

Those felt like minor concerns however; overall I would highly recommend the resort and we would definitely go back.
