Meet Vicki
I am a Senior Corporate Travel Consultant with more than 30 years of experience helping small and medium sized businesses with their travel needs. Working in the corporate travel arena is very fulfilling—I like becoming an additional member of my client’s staff, relieving them of their travel worries so they can concentrate on their own responsibilities. I have received a diploma as a Business and First Class Specialist through Travel Agent University. I also specialize in “High End” spa, and luxury vacations (especially Four Seasons Resorts, Signature Travel Network luxury hotels, Langham Hotels, Design Hotels, Firmdale Hotels and many more)—and I love finding new and unique properties for my clients to visit. I am also a Virgin Atlantic Airways Specialist, a Hotel Excellence Specialist with Marriott Hotels and a Wingate Hotels Trained Specialist.
When I travel, I always enjoy visiting hotels and going on site inspections so I can better serve my clients. One of my favorite trips, was a wonderful week in Vienna and Salzburg, experiencing their great history, learning how to dance the waltz, exploring museums, and hearing music everywhere. This trip helped me recommend hotels and tours to my clients upon my return. My latest journey was to Sweden and Finland, but I spend a lot of time inspecting and staying at local hotels, and especially finding out which spas to recommend to my clients.
My background is in office and volunteer management, as well as personal skills training, and I enjoy learning new systems and helping others. I completed 2 courses at West Los Angeles College in Mediation Skills and Training which was really interesting. I am now a member of the Southern California Mediation Association, and hope to volunteer to assist at risk youth and families to help improve their lives. In my spare time, I am actively involved in the community where I live and I served for 7 years as a Culver City Commissioner of Parks, Recreation & Community Services, twice as Chair.
In addition, for more than 18 years, I have served as the Chair of Friends of the Culver City Dog Park, a non-profit group that helped establish an off-leash dog park which serves thousands of people each year. I just finished my 2nd 4 year term on the Culver City Civil Service Commission, and was honored to be selected by my fellow Commissioners to serve as Chair for two of my 8 terms. In 2011, I was named one of 26 “Heroes” for the 26th California Senatorial District by Senator Curren Price for my community involvement and volunteerism—an award of which I’m very proud.
I love spending time with my two senior dogs who are great companions and I love to explore new places. I enjoy eating out, going to movies and the theater, and spending time with friends and family.
