  • DAY 1: Depart home gateway city to Beijing Departing Flight
  • DAY 2: Beijing Motorcoach
    Featured Excursion: Arrive in Beijing and be greeted by a Uniworld representative who will escort you to the hotel.
  • DAY 3: Beijing Dining Out Motorcoach
    Featured Excursion: Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, Summer Palace, and Peking Duck feast
    Beijing is home to many of the sights that make China a must-see destination. Among the fascinating places you will visit is the Forbidden City, the largest and most complete ancient imperial palace in the world. Stand in the middle of Tiananmen Square, the heart of Beijing, and then visit the Summer Palace. In the evening, top off a fabulous day with an authentic Peking Duck dinner. (BB, L, D)
  • DAY 4: Beijing
    Featured Excursion: The Great Wall, the Ming Tombs, and the Beijing Opera
    The Great Wall, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is without question one of the man-made wonders of the world. To walk this marvel of the ancient world is truly memorable. Later in the day, travel the Sacred Way, home to the remnants of the Ming Tombs. End your day with yet another highlight, an evening at the magnificent Beijing Opera. (BB, L, D)
  • DAY 5: Beijing, fly to Xi’an
    Featured Excursion: Hutongs tour and dumpling dinner
    Ride in a rickshaw for a behind-the-scenes tour of the Hutongs, ancient lanes and alleyways located in the old residential area of Beijing. Later in the day, you’ll fly to Xi’an. Check into the hotel, and then enjoy a delicious dumpling dinner. (BB, L, D)
  • DAY 6: Xi’an
    Featured Excursion: Terra Cotta Warriors, City Wall, and Tang Dynasty dinner and performance
    Xi’an is the capital of Shaanxi Province and the site of one of the most significant archaeological excavations of the 20th century, the Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses. Visit the City Wall, one of the oldest and best- preserved walls in China. In the evening, indulge in a Tang Dynasty dinner and cultural show. (BB, L, D)
  • DAY 7: Xi’an, fly to Chongqing, cruising the Yangtze River
    Featured Excursion: Big Wild Goose Pagoda and Chongqing Zoo panda viewing
    Visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, a well-preserved ancient building and a holy place for Buddhists. Then fly to Chongqing, where you’ll board an elegant Victoria Cruises ship for your river cruise on the awe-inspiring Yangtze. But, before we set sail, we’ll stop at the Chongqing Zoo for a glimpse of the giant pandas. (BB, L, D)
  • DAY 8: Cruising the Yangtze River Welcome Dinner
    Featured Excursion: Fengdu or Wanzhou
    Sail along the Yangtze with its vertical limestone cliffs. Your journey will take you through the Three Gorges. You’ll visit either Fengdu, the “Ghost City,” with its gardens, temples, and statues of ghosts, or the new relocation village for families who have moved as a result of the Yangtze’s rising waters brought about by the Three Gorges Dam. Depending on river conditions, an alternative excursion may be substituted to the port city of Wanzhou. (BB, L, D)
  • DAY 9: Cruising the Yangtze River Farewell Dinner
    Featured Excursion: Lesser Gorges
    Board a riverboat and embark on a voyage through the enchanting Lesser Gorges of either the Daning River or Shennong Stream. You’ll also sail through the Xiling Gorge and then through the amazing Three Gorges Dam ship locks. (BB, L, Captain’s Farewell Dinner)
  • DAY 10: Yichang, fly to Shanghai Departing Flight
    Featured Excursion: Three Gorges Dam
    Visit the site of the Three Gorges Dam before disembarking in Yichang. Fly to Shanghai and transfer to your hotel. (BB, L, D)
  • DAY 11: Shanghai
    Featured Excursion: Shanghai tour and Shanghai Acrobat performance
    Visit Old Town; the Bund, Shanghai’s famed waterfront promenade; and the Oriental Pearl TV Tower. On your final night in China, prepare to be dazzled by the amazing Shanghai Acrobats. (BB, L, D)
  • DAY 12: Depart Shanghai Return Flight
    Featured Excursion: Transfer to the airport for your return flight home, or continue your tour with a visit to Hong Kong. (BB)
