Hi Julie,
I understand you're a proud new aunt? Congratulations.
I wanted to give you some feedback on this trip and the Globus experience. We were a bit put off when we initially arrived at the airport in Casablanca and found out that our group was going to consist of thirty some-odd people. Much larger group than we normally travel with, we're used to a dozen or so. It simply didn't occur to us to ask when we were booking. A lot of people in the group were not particularly seasoned or knowledgeable travelers, either, so we prepared for the worst. Much to our surprise, the tour turned out very well. The somewhat slower pace of this group let us get out ahead for good, tourist-free photos, and also let us hang back and shop to our hearts' content and still catch up to the group before boarding the bus. The itinerary was excellent (as long as you took all the optional tours). Food varied, but was generally of good quality (except in Marrakesh hotel) , and hotels were really quite nice...better than most we usually encounter. Tour guide was outstanding, one of the best I think we've had anywhere. His knowledge of the culture, his desire to teach us and the way he looked out for us were all impressive. He really made the experience.
In short, I would highly recommend this particular tour to most anyone interested in experiencing a broad cross section of Morocco, whether they are experienced travelers or not. Of course, basic food and crime precautions stand anywhere one travels...
Regards,
Ken
