We received your "Welcome Back" card- thanks!.
The trip for all of us was absolutely, from start to finish, the best
adventure that we've ever had.
We got to the airport before the ticket counter opened, so Jim and
Randall got the bulkheads. Because Jim discovered that he couldn't
stretch his legs out in these seats, he chose to keep the original
aisle seat for the return, and we were lucky to have a plane with much
more leg room.
The Cape Cadogen was charming, peaceful and welcoming. The Westcliffe
was much too formal (we even got an upgrade that included a private
plunge pool!), but still a pretty view and peaceful.
We had no delays except for the little Chili Pepper 6 seater that had
all of our eyeballs popping with the thought of a 2 hour flight in
such a toy! But the ride was spectacular, because it was smooth and
the countryside was in full view below.
Phinda was exquisite- that savannah at sunset! Ngala was a shock
because it was so totally different (not pretty) but exciting for true
hunters like my husband. Of course we saw much more than the big 5
and lots of them!
Great food at the lodges- including surprise breakfast in the bush).
Extremely knowledgeable and friendly guides and rangers. The
cancellation of Soweto was fine since we had already seen 2 homes in
the Capetown township, and we had a great Shangan(?) guide.
