The Grand Coco Bay Hotel on the Riviera Maya

Hi Louise.
Thanks we did have a great time.
I would like to send you a few comments for future vacationers. Nothing really bad, but people who previously stayed at Iberostar, Palladium, etc. may be disappointed.

You can't really call it a resort. It is rather a beachfront hotel. There are no grounds, but inside the courtyard.
Pros: Beach is great. It is endless.
Pool is great.
Shows are nightly. They are pretty entertaning.
Entertainment staff is friendly and engaging.
Cons: Located right in the town of Playa Del Carmen. Town views are not very pleasant. There is Hotel stands right on the street. May be a plus for people who like going to the bars or stores.
Food is basic. You can't go hungry, but would not indulge yourself. There are only two very average specalty restaurants . You can go as many times as you want, but reservations are taken at 7 am. if you wait until 10 am or later, you will end up with 9:30 pm or none.
There is nothing to do after the show. No live music at all. There is only lobby bar open after 6 pm. Disco is open to only 18 and over year olds. Jacuzzi is open only until 5 pm - this is when most of people would consider start using it. Regards,
Jane.
