- Day 1 BOARD YOUR OVERNIGHT TRANSATLANTIC FLIGHT.
- Day 2, Sun. ARRIVE IN BUDAPEST, HUNGARY. at Budapest Upon arrival, you will be met and transfered to the ship. The balance of the day is free to begin exploring this charming city on your own. (D)
- Day 3, Mon. BUDAPEST. at Budapest Budapest is a vibrant mix of East and West, of medieval and modern. Made up of three parts – Buda, the hills, Pest, the flat lands and ancient Obuda, it is divided by the Danube. Your city tour features the famous Chain Bridge, the 19th-century Fisherman’s Bastion, and the UNESCO-listed Castle Hill district. Tonight, your captain welcomes you to his ship with a special Welcome Dinner. (B,L,D)
- Day 4, Tue. CRUISING THE DANUBE. at Vienna Enjoy a day of leisure on board as the ship glides along to Vienna, the “City of Waltzes.” (B,L,D)
- Day 5, Wed. VIENNA, AUSTRIA. at Vienna Take a panoramic overview tour of Austria’s capital city. Travel the stately Ringstrasse, where the surrounding buildings give off a distinctive imperial air, visit St. Stephen’s Cathedral and stroll past Mozarthaus, Mozart’s former home. Then there is free time to explore on your own or take an optional tour to Schönbrunn Palace. (B,L,D)
- Day 6, Thu. WACHAU VALLEY / MELK. at Melk Depart Vienna on a scenic cruise through the lush, vineyard-rich Wachau Valley. Upon arrival in Melk, take a guided tour of the 900-year-old Benedictine Abbey, a splendid example of Baroque art and architecture. (B,L,D)
- Day 7, Fri. PASSAU, GERMANY. at Passau Take a walking tour of 2,000-year-old Passau, revealing the highlights of this quaint town. - Day 8, Sat. REGENSBURG. at Regensburg Regensburg is a friendly town with cobblestone streets, medieval alleys and Roman remnants. On a walking tour, you will see the Cathedral of St. Peter, with magnificent stained glass windows dating from the 14th century and the town’s 12th-century Stone Bridge, completed in 1146. (B,L,D)
- Day 9, Sun. NUREMBERG. at Nuremburg Today’s tour takes you through Nuremberg, a medieval German city with defensive walls and red-roofed buildings. Re-board your cruiser and learn about the fascinating Main-Danube Canal, an engineering marvel which allows ships to sail from Amsterdam to the Black Sea. (B,L,D)
- Day 10, Mon. BAMBERG. at Bamberg Stroll through charming Bamberg with your guide. Visit the Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and see the rows of historic buildings and the old Town Hall overhanging the river. (B,L,D)
- Day 11, Tue. WÜRZBURG. at Wurzburg Visit Germany’s most pristine example of Baroque architecture, the Würzburg Residenz, former palace of the prince-bishops. Your tour will be capped off with a wine tasting in the Residenz cellar. (B,L,D)
- Day 12, Wed. WERTHEIM / MILTENBERG. at Miltenberg A morning walking tour of Wertheim shows off the splendid Franconian architecture. During the afternoon, cruise the meandering Main River before exploring Miltenberg. See the half-timbered houses, the “Crooked House” and the famous Royal Inn. (B,L,D)
- Day 13, Thu. HEIDELBERG EXCURSION. at Heidelberg Coach from Miltenberg to Heidelberg, one of the best-preserved medieval cities in Europe. Your guided tour of the town takes you to the romantic ruins of Heidelberg Castle for a stroll through the courtyard and on through the Old Town. Coach back to re-board the ship. (B,D)
- Day 14, Fri. RÜDESHEIM. at Rudesheim Stop in Rüdesheim, a quaint Rhine Valley wine town. Board a gondola for a trip to the Niederwald Monument, the giant statue commemorating the unification of Germany. Afterward, you might want to take an optional lunch and wine tasting excursion. Spend a relaxing afternoon cruising the Rhine. (B,L,D)
- Day 15, Sat. COLOGNE. at Cologne (Koln) Germany Today’s walking tour in Cologne takes you through the narrow streets of Old Town, passing by tiny squares and little churches.
