ITINERARY
- Day 1, Sun. BOARD YOUR OVERNIGHT TRANSATLANTIC FLIGHT.
- Day 2, Mon. ARRIVE IN NUREMBERG, GERMANY. at Nuremburg Welcome to Germany! Upon arrival in Nuremberg you will be met and transferred to the ship. (D)
- Day 3, Tue. NUREMBERG. at Nuremburg On a city tour, see Kaiserburg Castle, the medieval town wall and towers, and the decorated central marketplace with its beautiful fountain. Visit Nuremberg's Christmas Market, Christkindlesmarkt, and browse through more than 200 wooden stalls filled with toys and Christmas ornaments. Indulge in gingerbread, sausages, roasted chestnuts and sweet and spicy mulled wine. This evening, the captain hosts a Welcome Dinner on board. (B,L,D)
- Day 4, Wed. REGENSBURG. at Regensburg Stop in Regensburg, a well-preserved medieval town. An afternoon walking tour highlights the Cathedral of St. Peter, with magnificent stained-glass windows dating from the 14th century; the Gothic structure of Town Hall, where the first parliament of the Holy Roman Empire sat from 1663 to 1806; and the town's famous 12th-century Stone Bridge, spanning the Danube. Then wander through the Christmas Market and sample traditional steamed dampfnudel, dumplings with vanilla sauce. (B,L,D)
- Day 5, Thu. PASSAU. at Passau Visit Passau, where a guided walking tour includes the medieval section, St. Stephan's Cathedral, the New Residence and the Town Hall. At the Christmas Market, shop for glass ornaments and watch demonstrations of gingerbread making and floral decorating. (B,L,D)
- Day 6, Fri. LINZ. at Linz Linz offers a lively Christmas Market filled with everything from local crèches to delectable Linzer Torte. A walking tour highlights Linz's Alter Dom, Nordico Museum, and the New Church. Then walk through the pedestrian zone, Alter Markt, Kremsmünstererhaus and the impressive Main Square with the baroque Trinity Column. (B,L,D)

DÜRNSTEIN / VIENNA. at Vienna A tour of the tiny Baroque village of Dürnstein features views of old burgher houses, 16th-, 17th- and 18th-century townhouses, and the exquisite Baroque cathedral. Stop at the Augustinian Convent, a masterpiece of Baroque architecture, for an organ concert. Then glide down the river to enchanting Vienna, the “City of Music,” and enjoy a concert of Mozart and Strauss compositions. (B,L,D)
- Day 8, Sun. VIENNA. at Vienna On a panoramic city overview, drive along the stately Ringstrasse, where the buildings lining the boulevard have an imperial air. See St. Stephen's Cathedral and Mozarthaus. Then on to Vienna's Christmas Market, full of holiday spirit and adorned with decorative lights and the aromas of macaroons and rich Viennese coffee.
