- Day 1 BOARD YOUR OVERNIGHT TRANSATLANTIC FLIGHT.
- Day 2 ARRIVE IN VIENNA, AUSTRIA. at Vienna Welcome to Vienna. You will be met and transferred to the ship. (D)
- Day 3 VIENNA. at Vienna On a city tour this morning, drive along stately Ringstrasse, lined with distinctively imperial buildings, to impressive St. Stephen's Cathedral. Then on to see Mozarthaus where Mozart lived and wrote The Marriage of Figaro. This evening, your ship's captain hosts a Welcome Dinner. (B,L,D)
- Day 4 VIENNA / BRATISLAVA, SLOVAKIA. at Bratislava A tour of Bratislava, the “Coronation City of Kings,” features the restored historical center with its shops, cafés and squares. (B,L,D)
- Day 5 BUDAPEST, HUNGARY. at Budapest Charming Budapest, straddling the Danube, is made up of the twin cities of Buda, the hills, Pest, the flat lands and ancient Óbuda. A city tour of this architectural dream features the UNESCO-listed Castle Hill district, the 19th-century Fisherman's Bastion, Matthias Church and the famous 19th-century Chain Bridge. (B,L,D)
- Day 6 BUDAPEST. Spend a leisurely morning enjoying Budapest on your own, or take an optional tour to the Hungarian plains to learn about the horsemanship of the Hungarian cowboy. Then set sail for Croatia. (B,L,D)
- Day 7 VUKOVAR, CROATIA / OSIJEK. at Osijek Your tour starts in Vukovar, where the scars of the recent war are still visible. On to tour the university town of Osijek on the banks of the Drava River. Visit Tvrda, the oldest part of the town. Afterward, enjoy lunch in the home of local Croatians. (B,L,D)
- Day 8 BELGRADE, SERBIA. at Belgrade Visit the remarkable city of Belgrade. Enjoy views of Republic Square and the eclectic architecture of the National Museum, and travel through Belgrade's upscale living quarters. Then visit St. Sava Cathedral, the largest active Orthodox church in the world. (B,L,D)
- Day 9 KOSTOLAC. at Kostolac Disembark in Kostolac for an excursion to the archaeological site at Viminacium, a former Roman outpost with wide streets, baths and an amphitheater. An exclusive tour of the site is guided by one of the archaeologists, who will share insights about the treasures that have been unearthed during the ongoing excavations. (B,L,D)
- Day 10 CRUISING THE IRON GATE. at Vidin Travel through the famous Iron Gate, a series of narrow gorges that form the gateway through the southern slopes of the Carpathian Mountains. (B,L,D)
- Day 11 VIDIN, BULGARIA / BELOGRADCHIK. at Belogradchick Vidin, with its magnificent Baba Vida fortress, is one of the oldest towns along the Bulgarian section of the Danube. From Vidin, it is only a short distance to one of the natural wonders of Bulgaria, Belogradchik, a fairy tale world made of weathered red sandstone in fantastic formations. (B,L,D)
- Day 12 ROUSSE / VELIKO TURNOVO / ARBANASSI. at Arbanassi Today's excursion highlights the region's Roman heritage. In Veliko Turnovo, see the ruins of the Royal Palace on Tsarevets Hill. Then head for the resort town of Arbanassi for a lunch of traditional Bulgarian cuisine before a tour featuring the 17th-century Nativity Church – a UNESCO World Heritage Site. - Day 13 SILISTRA / VARNA / BLACK SEA. at Silistra Disembark in Silistra and drive to Varna for a visit to the Archaeological Museum, home to artifacts from the excavations in the Varna Acropolis. Enjoy lunch here before taking a cruise on the Black Sea to Balchik to see the Botanical Garden and the Summer Palace built by the Romanian Queen Maria. (B,L,D)
