Itinerary:

Day 1 AUCKLAND / COROMANDEL.
Meet your Kiwi guide and travel to the Coromandel Peninsula, viewing the spectacular scenery along the way. You will see the picturesque farmland of the Pacific coast, the seabird coast, the charming gold town of Thames, and the lush rainforest with giant Kauri trees. On over a volcanic range to a quiet coastal town for the night. (L)

Day 2 COROMANDEL PENINSULA.
A day of easy walking to sample the region’s natural heritage and scenic beauty. First stroll down a forgotten path to visit an abandoned gold mine, now home to sparkling glow worms. Next, easy walking to explore the coastal beaches, lined with magnificent cliffs and old Maori Pa sites. Tide permitting, you will also visit a hot water beach. (B)

Day 3 COROMANDEL / ROTORUA.
Every corner brings a change of scenery as you head toward Rotorua. Stop at the mural town of Katikati with its open-air art and visit a kiwifruit, avocado and flower orchard. Continue on to Rotorua. Your tour ends here. (B,L)
