Molokai is a peaceful island, where you can relax on beaches that you can have all to yourself. There is much to explore on Molokai. You will want to visit the historic settlement of Father Damien, the African wild animal park, and the ancient landmarks. The center of activity is the village of Kaunakakai. The road east takes you to seaside towns, secluded swimming coves, ancient Hawaiian fishponds, and other historical spots.
On Molokai's spectacular and nearly inaccessible north coast, you'll find sheer cliffs, hidden valleys, and waterfalls plunging hundreds of feet into the ocean. It is so isolated, you can only get there by helicopter, kayak or boat, which will drop you off on beaches rarely visited. Molokai is the ultimate getaway. It's uncrowded and totally relaxing.
Summer temperatures range from 68-88°F, while winter temperatures range from 61-80°F. The majority of rain falls in the winter, but the north and east side of Molokai receive little rain during the summer while west and south shores receive almost none.
