With a series of music-themed cruises, Silversea Cruises intends to soothe the soul of the savage beast this year. Fans of every musical style from jazz and the Beatles to opera will have something special to savor during seven cruises to the Mediterranean and the British Isles.
The musically-driven enrichment program has been designed to provide a sampling of the most enduring genres, from opera to California beach music. The fun starts later this month on the Silver Wind, departing Monte Carlo on May 28, when artists from the London Festival Opera will entertain with Italian and other opera favorites in performances and events that include a gala opera evening, a show entitled “A Night at the Opera.”
Other music cruises include a Med cruise on the Silver Whisper, Aug. 1 from Venice, with an assortment of Cole Porter interpretations. And later in the summer, the musical theater of Noel Coward will serve as the entertainment centerpiece of a couple of more Mediterranean cruises. Other musical themes will include jazz, blues, California pop and The Beatles.
Silversea Cruises is an innovator in the luxury segment, offering guests large-ship amenities aboard its four all-suite vessels.
