Join me for a tour of stateroom 9133 on Deck 9 of the Crystal
Symphony. The staterooms were refurbished late last year during Crystal
Cruises’ largest dry dock ever. The company spent $23 million upgrading
this 12-year-old ship, and that was money well spent.
The staterooms were designed to have the look of a chic boutique
hotel. They are gorgeous, with walls of a sort of mushroom hue, Murano
glass bedside lamps, LED reading lights, flat panel TV with DVD/CD
player and more.
New bedding features beautiful Rubelli fabrics. Bathrooms were
redone to reflect a new contemporary style, with oval glass sinks
sitting atop granite countertops, and a tub and shower combination.
9133 is a category A stateroom, and it measures 246 square feet with
veranda. These staterooms are a great value, but if you go down one
deck, you get an identical stateroom — category B — for an even better
value. You pay more as you move up the decks on this ship.
Wireless internet is offered throughout, and it’s cheap by industry
standards, as low as 20 cents per minute depending on the package you
purchase
