Spain & Italy

Spectacular Spain and Italy

Nearly every year a majority of Americans surveyed rank Italy as their number one European destination. Whether you have been once or twenty times, Italy has probably captured a piece of your heart. If you have never been, what are you waiting for? You can explore the country independently, as part of an escorted tour or perhaps on a cruise.

While Spain doesn't attract as many Americans each year as Italy, it is definitely the favorite of many travelers worldwide. It is the ideal playground for art aficionados, architecture buffs and food and music lovers, and in 2007 it will welcome sailors from around the world as it hosts the America's Cup!

Spain Welcomes America's Cup

For the first time in more than 150 years -- from June 23 to July 7, 2007 -- Europe will host sailing's most prestigious event. Aficionados from around the world will flock to sunny Valencia to watch the world's best yachtsmen from 10 countries battle it out as the Swiss Alinghi team defends its title against 11 other teams.

In 1851 Queen Victoria watched the last competition in Europe as the yacht America representing the New York Yacht Club beat 15 British vessels racing around the Isle of Wight. Since then, America's Cup races have only been held in Britain, the U.S., Australia and New Zealand.

We found the dress and at the same time found an even stronger connection between us. After the chaos of her wedding wore down, we decided it was time to plan another shopping trip.
