Sun Princess has always been a cruise ship industry pioneer. When she was christened, she set the bar for offering a high percentage of balcony staterooms from which to view the exotic destinations of the world. Today, Sun Princess is based in Australia year-round, sailing mainly from Sydney and Fremantle, and has been recently updated to include our most popular onboard venues, including The Sanctuary, a serene haven just for adults, and our inviting Movies Under the Stars^®.

Horizon Court

The Marquis Dining Room with its intimate dining areas, etched glass, granite borders, decorative light sconces and rich wood tones exudes ambiance and charm. The identical Sicilian Dining Room is directly below.

Princess Theatre

The Princess Theatre is a full theatre at sea with a 36-foot proscenium arch stage, comfortable, perfect-view seating and lavish art-deco decor.

Reading Room

The wood-panelled Bay View Reading Room features private reading and "books on tape" listening chairs, each with its own bay-window view.

Riviera Pool

The Riviera deck is a sun-worshipper's paradise. Located midship, the Riviera pool and bar offer the perfect setting for non-stop activities or for pure relaxation.

Roulette Rotunda

The ceiling of this rotunda invites you into the Grand Casino. It's also the entry point into other areas of the ship.

Shooting Stars Disco

Soak up the atmosphere as you look around the Shooting Stars Disco with its intimate seating, video screen dance floor, and sit-up bar.

Verdi's

Verdi's pizzeria features flagstone floors, decorative wrought-iron grillwork, a central location on the top level of the atrium lobby and delicious, freshly-baked pizzas, wine and beer.

Wheelhouse Bar

Lots of brass, leather, wood and ship memorabilia give the Wheelhouse Bar its classic, nautical feel. It's the perfect meeting place for a dance, a drink and new-found friends.

Princess Golf Program

The Princess Golf Program is tailored for all golf lovers and anyone wanting to learn or improve their golf game. By simply signing up, guests can take part in golf excursions at the various ports of call. The Golf Professional and his/her assistant in charge of the program will communicate with the golf courses, arrange transportation, and provide full-time assistance while on the golf tour.

BEST ENTERTAINMENT

Western Caribbean - 4/2011

Music for everyone

This 7-day cruise had some of the best entertainment of any cruise that we have ever been on. There were two Classical pianists onboard; one young lady accompanied a string quartet (4 brothers from Hungary), None of them ever looked at a sheet of music. There were very good jazz musicians playing in one of the lounges every night. Princess even had two very talented comedians onboard that week, and not one vulgar word came from either one of these gentlemen...wow!

Pros: With over 800 kids onboard because of spring break, the cruise staff kept them busy and out of sight!

Cons: Only con on the entire cruise was missing Roatan because of bad seas
