Internet
Even though you are with Holland America for a cruise vacation, your onboard experience will be enhanced if you can connect with people back home. On Holland America Line, you can cruise anywhere in the world while accessing the rest of the world through only a few mouse clicks. Via the Internet you can stay in touch with loved ones, do business, access stock quotes or share vacation experiences in real time.
Each cruise ship in the Holland America fleet provides an Internet Center offering 24-hour email and Internet access. Printers are also available. Wireless "hot spots" (802.11b) are available on all ships for guests traveling with personal laptop computers with wireless capability. Guests may also rent wireless-equipped laptops onboard.
Vista-Class cruise ships--including ms Oosterdam, ms Westerdam and ms Zuiderdam--provide Internet access directly from guest rooms using the dial-up connector on personal laptop computers.
Guests needing to access their home or business e-mail service or other Internet services should remember to bring login username, password and relevant access information.
Laundry
You will find laundry bags and price lists in your closet. Self-service laundromats are situated in various locations on board, except the ms Noordam, ms Zuiderdam, ms Westerdam and ms Oosterdam. The facility consists of washers, dryers, irons and ironing boards. There is a charge for the use of washers & dryers. For safety reasons, please refrain from ironing clothes in your stateroom.
Express Baggage Service
Holland America Lines TSA certified partners will take your luggage directly from the ship and deliver it to your outbound aircraft. You will then claim your luggage when you arrive at your final airport destination. This disembarkation option allows you to enjoy your final hours in the port at your leisure.
Imagine your options: 1) Enjoy the sights of the city or 2) Stand in a never-ending line at the airport - the choice is yours with Signature Express Baggage Service. The Porters are salaried employees and tipping is not required. Signature Express Baggage Service is available in selected departure ports and for selected ships, detailed below. Once onboard, a letter explaining the eligibility requirements will be sent to you.
Please note the following general information about Signature Express Baggage Service:
Guests are able to check no more than 2 pieces of luggage.
- Upgrade Requests, Seat Assignment Requests, and Flight Changes cannot be accommodated onboard.
- There are restrictions established for each homeport city. Restrictions include: participating airlines, earliest and latest flight times, and citizenship requirements.

All flights must be Domestic (inclusive of US Territories). In Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada all flights must be bound for the US.
Religious Services
Please consult the Daily Program regarding times and locations for the following:
Catholic - Mass is held daily.
Interdenominational - An interdenominational service is conducted each Sunday and on appropriate religious holidays.
Jewish - A Sabbath Eve is held each week. Anyone wishing to volunteer to lead this service should contact the Cruise Director. A Rabbi is on board for High Holiday services
Wheelchair Accessibility
Holland America Line requests advance notification about any special requirements at the time of booking. Twelve ships are equipped with wheelchair-accessible tenders for ports of call when the ship is an anchor some distance from the port. All public rooms on Holland America ships are wleelchair accessible. Elevators on board all ships accommodate wheelchairs, as do designated public area restrooms.
