All members such as yourself are GM´s, short for gracious members. Your sports instructors, hosts and hostesses, chefs and entertainers are GO´s, or gracious organizers. Everyone lives in the Village, a self-sufficient vacation setting headed by a charismatic Chef of Village.
Club Med has named its resorts villages because of the friendly and social atmosphere they offer. Each village is located on an average of 50 acres in the most spectacular locations around the world. Villages embody the local country's culture, architecture and people. From the rooms to the restaurants, you'll find the local culture reflected in the décor and amenities to provide a true taste of the destination.
Club Med provides world-renowned children's programs in certain villages for those traveling with children.

Most villages have multiple dining options from lavish buffets to more intimate restaurants with table service. Casual options are also available throughout the day if you're just looking to recharge in between activities. Restaurant options vary by village, so please refer to individual village info pages.

There is never any pressure, never any obligations at Club Med. But there is almost always something going on. Join the GO´s and GM´s if you care to - if not, feel free to do your own thing.
In 1950, war-weary Europe needed a vacation. An Olympic water polo champion from Belgium named Gerard Blitz organized a beach holiday for a few hundred of his friends in Majorca, Spain. The program was simple : sun and fun on the shores of the Mediterranean, sports and relaxation in a setting of natural beauty. The price? Very affordable! Of course, the Club Med vacation concept evolves over time, in response to the needs and wishes of our GM's.
Some villages have special room categories, so views and/or suites are available for a supplement. Triple occupancy or economy rooms at certain villages offer a value. Ask for these options, or for connecting rooms, when you reserve. King sized beds, available in most villages, can be requested upon arrival and is dependent on availability.
Of course! Club Med villages are in some of the most beautiful locations on earth, near many awe-inspiring sites and sights! You can explore on your own or sign up for a guided tour of the area´s attractions (natural, cultural, athletic...). Cultural and Adventure Tours are different in each village, and vary in length and price. From European countries it is also possible to book a tour prior to departure.
You’ll find the dress code at Club Med is as laid back as the atmosphere. Days and nights at Club Med are casual, and you’ll be most comfortable in sports clothes and resort wear. Formal wear is not necessary. When traveling to certain European Villages, remember to bring along a beach towel. You are welcome to use Club Med´s sports equipment, or to bring your own. Pack essentials like glasses, medicines, valuables, money, etc. in your carry-on bag.
A special card is issued to guests at time of check-in, which is used to make purchases in the Club Med Boutique or the excursions desk. This card is to be returned during the check out process and all charges may be settled by local currency or credit card. There’s no need to carry cash while you are with us.
