We Really Enjoyed Our Cruise West Alaska Inside Passage Cruise!

Wanted to let you know that we really enjoyed our cruise. Only 73 passengers aboard so lots of deck space. The captain went out of his way to find us amazing wildlife. We saw around 70 humpbacks swimming around boat one evening and two other days we spotted Orcas, even babies breaching. Eagles everywhere and really close to glaciers and waterfalls, grizzlies eating on shore. The pastry chef was amazing as was all food. The crew could not have been nicer or more informed. The passengers were all so excited about the wildlife and scenery it was really inspiring to be part of the group.
Our cabin in the aft was slightly noisy with engines and maybe a little diesel smell but so wonderful to walk right outside to see the sights. More private than the deck with walk around space. The smokers were on the top deck, so no bother for us.
The only thing I would not recommend would be the Goldbelt Hotel. Was a zoo there both days with all the passengers from the two Cruise West boats in port trying to check/in and out. Would have been better to go somewhere else on the last morning that we arrived at 8 am and were asked to wait until 3 pm for check/in. Staff was somewhat overwhelmed and not so pleasant. We did receive our room around 1pm. But it was nice to have hotel pickup and we had a great meal there. Juneau was very crowded with 5 large cruise ships in port the first day, would have gotten out of there sooner if we had known. The rest of the ports were quiet.
