Many thanks.

I especially appreciated your help, Sandra with planning the trip, advising me on what rooms to book and answering all my many questions.  The family suite you recommended for Van and myself in SOL was a brilliant choice.  It gave us easy access to the protected beach and cabanas, (and it meant my grandchildren could have easy access to  our bathroom (!) ). The concierge service was also very nice and the concierge staff (COs?), indeed throughout the resort were super helpful and friendly.   Our children's rooms in Cielo and Iguana were very nice and close by and it was easy for them to get to the El Elcanto dining room, childrens' activities and pools etc.  And my worry that my husband  Van, who has serious back pain which limits his mobility, would have problems getting around were unfounded. Although there were indeed a lot of steps, there was always a ramp that he could use for his four wheel walker. And the fact that there were so many structured, challenging, fun and well supervised activities for our four young grandchildren to participate in meant that their parents could have a truly relaxing vacation themselves.

Food -- and drinks--were excellent. The varied cuisines, lovely fresh fruit and salads, and having so much choice made everyone happy.   Our double birthday (80 and 50)  dinner-- including the Tre Leche birthday cake- at  the a la carte Miramar  restaurant on the beach, as the sun set was perfect! We also enjoyed a delicious dinner at the Luna Azul restaurant. Transportation from and to the airport was very efficient and comfortable.

We were also delighted to discover the very efficient and pleasant photography studio which, within the space of 30 minutes, took a series of lovely photos of our grandchildren and whole family, which we will treasure as a memento of  our  happy family celebration. ( I will email you a couple of them)  I think my only complaint was that there were so many activities to choose from that we couldn't do them all .   Our four young grandchildren were so tired and happy at the end of the day that they didn't have any interest in going to the various shows and concerts in the evening!

I have one suggestion: The daily schedule of activities was very helpful but I think that the written information given out to all guests could explain the resort set up in a bit more detail and for example include  info about the background and availability of the staff--especially  those supervising the children's activities---availability of health related services etc. [Other members of my family may have other suggestions]

You can be sure that we are highly recommending Ixtapa Club Med to all our friends--especially those with grandchildren, as well as telling them to contact you if they are interested in going there. Hopefully, we won't be waiting for Van's 90th Birthday to visit Club Med again.  With best wishes, and thanks again from me and my family..
