Trip Itinerary
Day 1: Hello Big Apple!: This morning meet your Contiki tour manager and enjoy a sightseeing tour of Manhattan including fashionable Fifth Avenue, Central Park, Harlem's Apollo Theatre, Greenwich Village, the World Trade Centre Site and much more. This afternoon we'll board a ferry to Liberty Island to see the Statue of Liberty and take in a spectacular view of New York City Skyline. After dinner, we'll take in the lights of world famous Times Square, before experiencing some of the great New York nightlife. Hotel (D) Day 2: New York, New York: We visit the Empire State Building and take the elevator up 102 floors to the Observation Deck. Enjoy a stroll up Fifth Avenue seeing St. Patrick's Cathedral, the Rockefeller Center and Tiffany's. Spend the afternoon on an optional guided "Sex and the City" Tour or spectacular NYC shopping. Tonight, choose from one of the hundreds of great restaurants, and then perhaps take in a Broadway show. Hotel (B) Day 3: Manhatten & Central Park: This morning we will explore Central Park, 340 hectares (843 acres) of woods and parklands in the heart of the city. Go cycling, boating, or ice skating (activities vary by season). Spend the day in the park, go shopping or visit one of the New York's many museums, such as the Guggenheim, Museum of Modern Art, or the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Then why not take an incredible helicopter ride around Manahattan? You can also enjoy an optional guided tour of Manahattan Movie & TV locations. In the afternoon, you can join us for an awesome optional - The Beast - a high speed jet boat ride up and down the Hudson River (seasonal). This evening we will enjoy a goodbye dinner together at one of New York's great restaurants. Hotel (D) Day 4: New York: Say a final farewell to your new found friends as your tour ends this morning.
Important Note: New York, New York...the city is so nice they named it twice! In order to take full advantage of your time in this world-class city and to experience it the way locals do, this tour is conducted primarily on foot and by subway (included). A healthy balance of structured sightseeing and freetime with plenty of suggestions from your Tour Manager will ensure you enjoy New York to the fullest.
