  • Coconut Court Resort, Barbados With Apple Vacations

    Hi Lila,

Our trip was great.  Breakfast was included in our rate at Coconut Court, and while it wasn’t anything to write home about, it definitely made our stay easier (and cheaper).  We had one issue with our hotel room (the AC went on the fritz), but they moved us to another room for the remainder of our stay.  The rooms are pretty basic, but more than adequate if you aren’t planning on spending much time in it.

I went diving through Barbados Blue, which is located in the Hilton’s parking lot.  Saw two different types of sea turtles, barracuda, and a lot of other fish.  Went into a shipwreck, which was interesting, although definitely not for anyone who is claustrophobic.  Other than diving, we mostly just laid out in the sun and enjoyed the water.

All of our meals were excellent.  We went to a place just across the street the first night, went into St Lawrence Gap a few nights and found some other cute (and good!) restaurants in between the other nights.  Pisces, in the St Lawrence Gap, was especially good, and the staff was amazing.

We used mini-buses to get around and never had a problem.  We’d get on and tell the driver where we needed to go, and he’d tell us when to get off.  I never felt unsafe at all. Everyone was incredibly friendly!

  • Bavaro Princess Resort, Punta Cana

    Lila,

It was beautiful! We traveled for a destinantion wedding. A group of 38 in total. Bavaro was a nice resort. Don't let all the negative reviews detour recommending this destination.  Most of the rooms are now remodeled, spacious and clean.  Staff was extremly friendly and accomidating.

We did not expierence any communication barriers.  Night life was dull and the casino did not have much payout but, I did not expect it too.  I would return to this facility as it was a great resort for the price paid.

Thank you for all your assistance and I will contact you when I travel in the near future.

    -Jenny

Any chance of booking again at this year's rates?  With so many of us, we have to be economical but would love to be able to consider going there again!  Please let me know of special rates, packages, etc.. It would again be over the Christmas week!

  • Club Med Turkoise - Turks & Caicos

    Dear Lila,

We had been to the Caribbean before so knew what to expect.  The rooms were adequate and clean but not as nice as Guadeloupe.  The food was as good as or better than we have experienced at any of the eight or nine other villages we have visited.  The village seemed to be very well run.  The beach is as lovely as any we have seen in the Bahamas and Caribbean BUT there isn't enough shade.  For someone who wants to sit in the shade and read that is a MAJOR drawback.  But for the shade we would go back - - even with that shortcoming we might go back anyway.

  • Serenity at the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel, Big Island

    Lila,

Want to let you know Joan and I had great time on the big island, with much thanks to you.  Everything went as you had planned for us; our United flights were right on schedule, Hertz gave us a free upgrade, and the Mauna Kea put us in a wonderful room on the 7th floor, with a view of the whole Pacific Ocean.  Also, they acknowledged Joan's birthday with a bottle of champagne and other treats.

I will say, I didn't realize how exclusive and upscale the Mauna Kea is, being very expensive for everything, but it's location on that beautiful beach and bay, and the hotels amenities make it worth the expense.  I got lots of great snorkeling in and was able to swim with the turtles, so I'm a very happy camper.

Thank you again, so much.  Next year, I'll contact you about a vacation in Maui.

    Sincerely,

    Robert
